I can’t wait much longer for her to have my last name.

We order the same things we did on our first date, and luckily, we don’t run into either of our exes this time.

Before the dessert course comes out, I turn to Hannah and set the ring box on the table between us.

“What’s that?”

“I have a very important question to ask—two, actually.”

She rolls her eyes. “I already agreed to be your wife. I was wondering when you’d let me wear the ring. You’ve had it long enough.”

“I want to set a wedding date. If you want to have a small ceremony now and a big party later, we can do that. If you don’t want to do a big thing and just go to the courthouse, that’s fine, too. I just want to marry you. So what do you say?”

“I think we should get married on the one-year anniversary of the day we met at Silver Spoon. Just a small courthouse ceremony, and when the twins are older, we can have a bigger party to celebrate. I want Sage to be a witness.”

“I love that idea, Butterfly. Can I ask Kendall to be the other witness?” I flip the lid on the box and slide the ring onto her finger. She grins at me, and I plant a chaste kiss on her lips.

“Of course. I think that would be sweet. What was the other question you wanted to ask me?”

“Well, Aly and I have been talking. She’s opened up more about the Whitney stuff, and her therapist says she’s done really well processing things. I wasn’t going to bring this up until Aly did, and two weeks ago…”

“Brought what up?” Hannah looks wary but also a little hopeful.

“Would you like to officially be Aly’s mom?”

“What?” she gasps.

“Aly wants this too, I promise. She’s the one who came to me and asked if you’d want to adopt her. I told her I would ask. She told me to tell you she loves you, and that you’re a good mom to the twins. She wants you to adopt her, so you can be hermom, too.”

Hannah’s eyes fill with tears as she nods. “I would love to be Aly’s mom. I love her so much. If this is what she truly wants, I’d be honored to adopt her.”

I didn’t think Hannah would say no, but the relief I feel makes me feel ten times lighter.

When dessert comes, we happily eat and talk about everything, reminiscing on the past and excitedly planning our future.

When we get to our room when we get home, I practically attack Hannah. Going six weeks without sex wasn’t a hardship because I know she needed to recover, and I would never put her health in jeopardy. I missed my fiancée, though. I missed her softness, the way she responds to me.

Watching Hannah become a mom has been the hottest thing anyone’s ever done, and I want to show her how much I appreciate that her body gave us two of the most precious gifts ever.

She tastes like chocolate when our tongues mingle and fight for dominance, and my girl seems just as pent up as I am if the way her hips push into mine is any indication.

“Morgan,” she mutters between harsh presses of our lips together. “Need you.”

I pull back and slowly peel up her sweater dress, my cock grows even harder at the sight of her gorgeous breasts.

“You need me, Hannah? Where do you need me?” I tease, cupping her breasts in my hand and squeezing, brushing her nipple with my thumb.

“I need you in my pussy,” she moans, arching into my touch.

“What part of me do you want in your greedy little pussy, hmm? My tongue?” I flick her nipple with my tongue. “My fingers?” I grab a handful of her ass. “Or my cock?”

“All of them! Please! I just need you.”

“Get on the bed so I can lay you out properly.”

We undress quickly, and I follow her as she lays on the bed, holding myself above her so I don’t hurt her incision. Fuck, she feels so good, even though just our chests and legs are touching. I’ve missed the touch of her skin on mine these past few weeks.

I kiss my way down her belly, paying extra attention to the silver and red stretch marks on her skin, but avoiding her surgical scar. The mark reminds me how fucking strong she is, and a wave of gratitude washes over me.
