“I want you to be able to trust me too.”

“How do you expect me to do that?” I ask. “When you do something like this, it makes me question everything. I don’t want to be the mom who hovers and monitors everything you do.”

“You don’t have to do that. You can trust me.”

“Can I?”

“Yes! I’m sorry. I did one stupid thing. It won’t happen again.”

I shake my head. “You can’t guarantee that.”

“Why not?”

“Because you’remydaughter.” I pause to smile. “Look, you’re not getting off with just a warning here. You’re grounded for a couple weeks, and when you’re free again, you’re on a tight leash. You’ll turn on your location on your phone, and you’ll check in with me…constantly.”

“Deal.” She says it as if she has a choice.

“Sweetheart, I need you to get it together. You say you want me to start dating again, but it’s hard to do that if I’m having to micromanage you.”

She looks shocked. “You’re dating?”

“I had a date last night…until I had to cancel.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah.” I nod. “Just get it together. And as for the boys, ignore them. That’ll make you mysterious, and they’ll come sniffing around.”

“Shouldyoube giving dating advice?” She jokes.

Oh, kid…if you only knew.

Dirty Conversations

Dane

“Ican’t tell you how excited I am for this weekend,” Michelle says through the phone.

“You and me both, baby.”

Excited may be an understatement. It’s been three weeks since I found Eve at the frat party. Since then, Michelle and I haven’t gotten any time together. Don’t get me wrong, I understand. She’s been being an awesome mom to Eve, and she didn’t want to schedule our weekend getaway too soon. Since Eve was supposed to be grounded, Michelle didn’t want to send her to a spa with her aunt when she was supposed to be being punished.

While I understand all of that, my cock does not. I haven't been this horny since high school.

But I’m not an ass about it. We’ll get together when we can. And that happens to be this weekend.

I ask, “How was your day?”

“It was alright. Nothing special. I’m not sure what you did to Eve during practice, but she’s already out. I walked past her room, and she was already snoring.”

“You sure she was actually in there and not pulling a Ferris Bueller?” I joke.

“Trust me, I went in and checked.” She giggles. “Since the party, she’s been a freaking angel, trying to repair the broken trust.”

“Well, that’s good.”

“Yeah, I think she’s doing better–even with the whole Danny thing. I’m glad because Ineedthis weekend.”
