His hand came up to caress my chin. “You can’t fool me anymore.”
Sweat dripped leisurely down his chest, taking the scenic route between the divots in his abs all the way down to his delicious—Head up, Esmerey! Focus!
It took too long for me to gather my scruples together and force my eyes back to his face. His chest vibrated with a growl as our eyes locked. He leaned forward, and I responded, ready for him to kiss me. Instead, he kneeled on the ground, managing to dodge my lips. His eyes were wide and earnest as he looked up at me. “Please. Give me a chance to explain.”
With Edur no longer blocking the view, I saw Ziam nervously watching the cave tunnel to the outside. “Lots of beasts headed our way. We can’t fight them all off here. There are too many of them.”
“Maybe I will fuck all of them and let you two watch.” I spat at Edur.
Edur threw me over his shoulder with Ziam leading the way into my little room. We crossed the threshold. The ward glowed to life, making a locking noise between my ears as it trapped us all inside.
“That will be effective.” Ziam studied the wards as Edur sat me down.
“Great. Now you two are trapped with me.” This was not supposed to happen.
“We’ll hold off on discussing our issues; that would not be fair in your current state.” Ziam caressed my face. “But we can ease your suffering in the meantime.”
The urge to let them satisfy me hit me hard, but I couldn’t tell if it was my desire or my feelings for the two men. I was okay with sex, but I would not give in to my emotions. I crossed my arms. “No.”
“No?” Ziam raised one pink eyebrow. The scent of my desire probably said something else entirely.
“No.” I yelled this time, but my own juices continued to drip down my legs. Both men were naked, and their cocks were fully erect, pointing at me accusingly. I gritted my teeth and walked to the other side of the room to lean on the cave wall. “And I have a fireball for anyone who thinks otherwise.”
Mirneax, help me.
“They are both scrumptious, aren’t they?” She answered in my head.Someone else, help me.
“Okay.” Edur smirked, laying on my makeshift bed with a slappable smirk on his face. Ziam eyed me while standing frozen in his spot.
Banging against the wards alerted me to the other’s arrivals. I wished I thought to put in a clause for me to be able to leave so I could have some of that out there. Unfortunately,a significantly more levelheaded version of myself wrote those wards, and I couldn’t focus on anything other than my own vagina.
The men inside the cave stayed statue-still with their eyes locked on me. The symphony of growls and snarls made my thighs clench. My eyes kept roving over what I wanted, them. Another wave of my scent must have wafted out because Edur roared. Every muscle in his body tensed like a ready cobra preparing to strike the second there was an opening. Ziam appeared more composed, but his rainbow eyes smoldered, threatening my stance on the whole matter.
My eyes bounced back and forth between them. I couldn’t measure the time as it passed, but I knew I didn’t last long. I paced back and forth, trying to get some control of myself. The growling crescendoed and echoed in the cave.
A feral smirk curled onto Edur’s lips, and it turned me on to no end. It also enraged me.
I yanked my wyretooth blade from my skirt pocket and held it to Edur’s throat. There was a reason people feared Balthazar. One bite, just a nick, and a toxin strong enough to kill a god was released into the bloodstream. It was a death sentence, and not a pretty one either.
Edur looked up at me with a bored, unconcerned expression. “What are you going to do with that?” With two careful fingers, he pulled the blade back from his skin. “We both know you won’t hurt me.”
The beasts banging on the wards outside all went silent, waiting with bated breath to see what I would do. His challenge burned at my pride. I let my guard down with these men. I should hurt them. Teach them a lesson.
“The big bad Petriv murderer is a tiny softy with a cushy heart.” Edur grabbed the blade from me and tossed it to the side. His hand rested possessively on my hip. “You never belonged with the council. You belong with us.”
“Your ego has always been your downfall. I have wielded it against you for years.”
Yet, my insides responded to his touch and scorched my anger into nothing more than leftover desire that was far from satisfied. I wouldn’t win this battle of wills. Not today.
He stood up, and his muscles rippled as they worked. My mouth planted kisses on his skin as my fingers ran down his strong chest with intention. Before my fingers met my destination, he snarled at me and grabbed my hand.
“Do you want us to take care of you?” He growled.
“Does it matter?”
“Yes,” Ziam whispered behind me. His breath tickled my ear.
“I’ll fuck whoever can get the job done. I don’t care who it is.”
