He thought for a moment. “I’d always wondered what it would be like. I don’t think I want to do that again.”

“You made her happy.” I helped him up. Sand covered his body.

“I’m going to jump in and wash the sand off. Thank you, Dear.” Brennan gave me a kiss then ran straight into the ocean.

Grace was inside the cabana on a lounge chair reading on the book reader that Spencer got her, sipping a drink. She’d takenoff her little beach skirt and cover up, laying on some towels over the double chaise lounge.

She didn’t look sunburned. I’m pretty sure she actually came in here because she was reading something spicy and didn’t want us to smell how turned on she was by it.

As a beta, I couldn’t smell the more nuanced scent changes, so the fact her sweet arousal filled the cabana only confirmed my suspicions. Though her three mates should be feeling this.

Her breath caught in her chest. Eyes closing, she laid back and put her hand to her throat.

“Good girl,” she whispered as her thighs rubbed together.

It made me remember our time in the nest.

“What are you doing, Grace?” I asked.

I straddled her on the chaise lounge, one knee on each side of her, no part of my body touching her. Desire for her, to make her aroused like that, to say that to her, consumed me.

Her eyes opened, and her look saidcaught.

“Reading.” Her scent flared.

I smirked. “Read it to me.”

It wasn’t a request. I was easygoing by nature, so I was easy to dismiss as neutral, not dominant. But there was a lot more under the surface than I let on.

“Out loud?” Her eyes flickered toward the doorway.

“Do you have another way?” I helped myself to some of the hand cleaner that sat on the little table next to us in between the sunscreen, her phone, and her drink.

Before she could answer, I leaned forward, putting my hands on both sides of her, caging her on the chaise. As I did, I watched her carefully. Since I couldn’t catch more nuanced scents I relied a lot on body language.

Every part of her screamed that she didn’t mind thisat all.Not to mention someone would come running at her distress.

“Read to me, Grace.” I met her eyes. Those beautiful blue-grey eyes reminded me of the ocean back in Bayside where I grew up.

She held up her e-reader and started to read aloud. “His large hand wrapped around my throat, pushing me to the wall. Emerald eyes glimmered with dominance as he smiled coyly. A scent reminiscent of a thunderstorm encompassed me, going straight to my pussy. His forehead touched mine as my insides burned with desire. He licked his kissable lips as I stilled under his grasp, his gaze. Only two words escaped his lips as his grip tightened around my neck. “Good Girl.” Two words and everything I’d built myself up to be melted into a puddle on my office floor. Two words and I was his.”

Her legs rubbed together again as her peachy scent enveloped me.

My face got very close, and I nuzzled my cheek against hers like I had this morning in the villa. Which had been amazing until Riley interrupted us.

“Good girl,” I told her.

Her chest shuddered and her eyes blew out with desire.

“Do you like it when I call you that?” I murmured nipping her ear. But I knew the answer.

She nodded.

Yes, little-miss-praise-kinklovedto be told that she was a good girl.

“Do you want me to call you that again?” My lips caressed her temple.

“Please?”
