“You found your bio-dad, too. That’s a lot for what was supposed to be a work trip,” he added.

“A bio-dad who, while apologetic for the shitty things that went down when I was a baby, is from a pack of colossal assholes. I haveninesiblings. And I’m from here. That means she knew I was omega.” I started to sob. “I used to make burrows inlaundrywhen I was a toddler. You know who smells like laundry?”

Brennan held me tighter. “Fuck. She probably did. Given your mate bond with Wes actually worked, you were probably so fucking close to awakening, too, if you hadn’t already. She could probably smell it.”

Oh shit. Sobs wracked my body as I continued to cry. Finally, they slowed.

“It’s okay, Little Butterfly. I have you. You’re okay,” he whispered.

“I’m sorry to cry all over you. Again,” I sniffed, face buried in his shoulder.

“Never apologize for needing comfort from someone in the pack, Grace. That’s what we’re here for.” Jett scooped me out of my seat and onto his lap, so we both leaned into Brennan.

“Thank you for coming.” I snuggled into Jett. I’d missed him, too.

“If it was one of us, you’d do the same,” Brennan told me, fingers tangling in my hair as my head rested on his muscular chest.

“Wow, you’re wearing Wes’ clothes,” Jett teased.

I scratched my nose with my middle finger. “You can’t get on me for wearing Evan’s stuff then tease me when I don’t.”

“You’re from here. That is fucking trippy,” Jett said.

“It just makes everything worse.”

It felt so good to be in their arms. For a few moments I just let them comfort me.

“Everything’s going okay with work, Jett?” I asked. “You didn’t miss a boxing tournament or anything?”

“Not this weekend, and everything’s fine,” Jett assured.

I looked at Brennan. “Is the Queen Mum still on the rampage?”

“Well, she hasn’t figured out that I bought the building she needs yet. But she did figure out that my dad signed some of my assets over to me.” Brennan rolled his eyes.

“I’m so glad that your dad actually followed through and sent the documents. I think he actually cares for you.” Jett squeezed his shoulder.

Brennan nodded. “I think so, too. I’ve gotten some upset texts from my mother’s lawyer telling me that I just don’t understand.”

“Mmmm, I’ll still slap her if you need me to,” I offered.

“Thank you.” Brennan stroked my hair.

“Well, this is fucking adorable.” Evan came into the kitchen in a T-shirt and shorts. He leaned in and gave me a kiss tasting of toothpaste, then kissed Brennan and Jett.

“I…” I looked up at him. Even though he didn’t seem mad, Evan had never seen his guys comforting me like this. As I got to know them better, I could understand why Evan was with them, why Wes and Spencer formed a pack with them.

“Grace.” Evan’s nose touched mine. “Relax. You can snuggle my guys.”

I got a hint of arousal in his lemonade scent.

“Absolutely.” Jett nuzzled my cheek, amber scent flaring.

Desire surged between my thighs, and I smelled Evan’s perfume. Jett hardened underneath me. My mind flashed back to Evan’s heat, when Jett and Evan took me between them over and over again. I wouldn’t mind that right now. Especially if Brennan let me suck–

What was I even thinking? Why was I so needy?

But the scents of pine, amber, and lemonade wrapped me in a hazy, sexy blanket.
