I’m so glad you’re back. Going to ride more roller coasters today.
Me
Have fun!
I texted Wes and Evan.
Me
I’m at the house. Love you. Miss you.
There was also a whole string of texts from Wes, starting not long after I left on Friday to Sunday.
Wes
I miss you.
I’m sorry I failed you.
I’ll love you to the end of the universe.
Please come back to us.
Do you know where you are? I would invade an otherworldly police station for you.
I love you with my very soul.
We’re going to the cabin for Evan’s heat, when you come back head there. We’ll save some for you. I love you.
My heart broke.
Me
I’ll love you to the end of the universe. I’m back and safe and will see you soon.
I scrolled through my phone looking for hints of where I’d been and what happened. No pictures. No texts to myself. No emails or unsent emails. No videos. No voice recordings.
Huh.
But then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Temporal Police deleted them. I should just be grateful I was back.
And I was. Just knowing what happened would give me a piece of mind. There was also a text from Jett.
Jett
I’m so relieved that you’re home. We were all worried. Please come up to the cabin today. Evan’s been asking for you. I hope that you need lots of love because Evan and Wes have been even thirstier than usual.
Me
Evan’s asking for me? Wes, too? I’ll ask Spencer when we’re heading up.
How mad is Brennan?
That was my biggest hesitation. Brennan would be pissed at me for keeping secrets, for sure.
I took off the robe, turned on the towel warmer, flipped on the jets, and slid into the bath, letting the water and fizzies soothe all my squishy parts, so that when I did see Wes and Evan I’d be ready.
Being with Spencer was amazing, but I needed to be the filling in a Wes and Evan sandwich.
