Her eyes had grown darker, glittering as she met his gaze for several moments before her head fell back. She clutched his back, emitting throaty moans that rose in pitch and volume. A scream erupted from her just as he felt her contract around his shaft.
Kade was rapidly nearing the threshold, and soon there would be no going back. He concentrated on Lexie, tuning out his body’s need for completion as he watched and felt intense pleasure surge through the woman he loved.

Lexie went lax as her powerful release faded. Her breath rasped in her chest, and her heart raced. She yelped in pleasant surprise when Kade shifted position, igniting her desire again. Opening her eyes, the sheer masculine beauty of the man instantly captivated her. Gripping her hips with his large, strong hands. She wanted to feel his hard body move against her and come with him.
She lifted her arms to him, silently inviting him closer. He covered her, kissing her deeply as he pumped in and out. She reveled in his weight, loving the way his back flexed against her palms with each movement. Tension built rapidly for both of them, and a fine sheen of sweat broke out over their bodies.
His eyes practically glowed as they locked gazes. With a feminine growl, Lexie hooked a hand around his neck and brought him down until they touched foreheads.
“I want to watch you, Kade,” she said, her voice husky. “I want to see you come with me.”
His response to her fierce declaration took her by complete surprise. Kade reared up and hooked his arms under her legs. The defined muscles of his biceps stood out even more. She caught sight of his tattoos. Thunder and Lightning, and she thought them aptly named because he was sweeping her along in a storm of sensation.
His chest and stomach muscles rippled every time he drove into her, and his breath came in ragged pants. Lexie grabbed the headboard and held on as Kade took her on the ride of her life. Loud whimpers rose from her throat as yet another shattering climax gripped her.
Even as his features tightened, and his shoulders tensed, Kade never looked away from her. A low, guttural growl rumbled in his chest and his big body vibrated, but he held her gaze, and she’d seen nothing so hot in her entire life.
She reached a bliss-filled high just as Kade filled her to the hilt and froze above her. His nostrils flared and his grip on her legs became just shy of painful. A long growl of ecstasy rose from his throat and faded away. “Oh, shit, Lex. Damn, baby!” he moaned before melding his mouth to hers.
Lexie kissed him back just as fiercely, filled with happiness that she’d made him feel so good after all the pleasure he’d brought her. When his body went slack, she pulled him down on top of her. Their hearts thundered together as the tempest calmed.
Caressing Kade’s back, she kissed his shoulder and fought back sudden tears. It shocked her to realize that they were happy tears. That had never happened to her before. What they had just shared was beautiful, and even though it scared her, Lexie accepted it and decided to just enjoy.
After a few moments, Kade lifted off her, kissing her before slowly moving away. He cupped her face and smiled at her as he stroked her cheek with his thumb. “I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere.”
She laughed and relaxed against the mattress, arms spread wide. “No worries there.”
Kade laughed with her and then left the room, headed towards the bathroom, and she sat up, enjoying watching his tight ass as he went before flopping back down. She drifted in a pleasant haze, sated and so relaxed that she felt boneless.
Kade returned and sat on the bed as he handed a glass to her. “Here. I thought you might be thirsty.”
Lexie suddenly realized that her mouth and throat were devoid of moisture and took the glass from him. She smelled mint and smiled before taking a huge gulp. It was cool and refreshing after all the heavy breathing she’d done.
When the last drop of the delicious, sweet beverage slid down her throat, she handed the glass back to Kade to sit on the nightstand. Then he made her scoot over and slid into bed beside her. He pulled the sheet over them and gathered her close.
“I think we need a nap after that,” he said, brushing a kiss against her temple.
Lexie smiled as she settled against his chest. “That sounds like a great idea.” Exhaustion took hold of her as she closed her eyes. The sound of Kade’s heartbeat under her ear soon lulled her into a contented slumber.
