“I love you,” said Joe, looking into the perfectly unguarded, perfectly blue, blue eyes.
“I love you.”
Percy threw the plug down with his usual perfect aim and slammed the water back on hot.
“Just like that?” said Joe. “You just drained the whole bath for that?”
“Mmhmm,” said Percy, bringing the champagne glass to Joe’s lips, watching with unwavering attention the movement of Joe’s lips, of his throat. Percy took a sip and kissed the spot just behind Joe’s ear with his cold lips, making him shiver deliciously. And then his hand was on Joe’s cock again.
“Percy, you can’t be serious.”
“Want me to stop?”
“Percy…”
It certainly wasn’t a no, and so the evening continued in much the same way until some unknown time later, Percy and Joe fell side by side into bed, for the first time in far too long, and were both asleep, wrapped up in one another, within seconds.
CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE
MORNING WOOD
Thunk!
Joe shifted a little, warm, soft, a cool breeze against his cheek.
Thunk!
He sank down deeper into the gentle luxury all around him.
Thunk!
He became aware of the light beyond his closed eyelids.
Thunk!
Slowly, he opened his eyes to the fresh, salty, sunny air streaming through the gigantic open doors. White curtains blew softly in the breeze, the glitter of the chandeliers sparkled over the comfort of the thick rugs on the floor. And there was Percy, in a fluffy bathrobe, taking aim with his antique knife.
Thunk!
It landed dead in the middle of an old wooden wine crate.
“Where did you get that?” Joe muttered.
“Ah, you’re awake!” Percy dropped the knife onto the lounge and threw himself down beside Joe with a bounce. “I found it in the cellar.”
Joe eyed the crate disdainfully. “Why?”
“Reasons,” said Percy. “But I’ve talked to Leo and he’s getting us some clothes.”
“Oh.” Joe rubbed his sleepy face. “That’s nice. I suppose.”
Then, very seriously, Percy explained, “I’m afraid they’ll be off the rack.”
Joe examined Percy, Percy examined Joe, and Joe said, “I always wear off the rack.”
Very slowly, the edges of Percy’s mouth drew into a smile, and he laughed at the ridiculous notion. “Jokes aside, I’ll sort it out as soon as possible. Until then… Are you very hungry?”
“No,” said Joe.
