“Idiot,” Leo mutters from his seat.

“I think he’s got balls.” That’s from Damian.

“A death vow more like,” Zaide mutters.

“Does he ever stop?” Jerrod asks Anna, who sits across from him.

“Nope,” she says, taking a drink, looking over at Sebastian. “He’s never one to control himself.”

“And you are?” Zaide asks her, and they both stare at each other, not saying anything else.

Seb shakes his hands out as he stands, wiping invisible dirt off his clothes as angry breaths pant at the back of my neck.

“Was that necessary?” he asks Darius.

“Stop touching her!” He growls, and I ignore the pair of them as I move to sit down.

I won’t be surprised if dicks are whipped out next.

Of course I don’t get the chance to get to my own seat, because I’m hauled into a warm lap, limbs arranged just how Darius wants it and his power wrapping around my waist to keep me still.

I sigh in defeat, but also secretly liking it.

I don’t want to be away from him either right now.

Darius grabs berries and bread, piling it onto my plate, along with some meat.

There is far too much, but I don’t say anything.

I can feel the others watching us again, but my stomach rumbling makes me not care.

When Darius is happy with the amount, he holds a piece of bread up to my lips, and I turn, grabbing a berry and holding it up to his in return.

I take a bite of bread and he pauses, eyes trained on mine before he opens his mouth… then I launch the berry inside.

It must hit the back of his throat because he starts coughing and spluttering.

I smirk.

Damian and Seb howl in laughter, the others chuckling and I continue chewing my food. That’s what he gets for shoving berries into my mouth in the bath.

Yeah, asshole, I say with my eyes as he glares down at me,I remember that.

He shakes his head, squeezing me with his power before he feeds me more food.

“The Alpha of Elites gagging on berries,” Colten says, tearing into his bread. “I’ve seen it all now.”

“Behave, pup,” Hudson says, bringing Colten’s plate closer so he can eat more.

Colten shrugs. “It’s funny.”

Hudson leans down and whispers something to him, and Colten’s eyes glaze over for a moment, cheeks heating. I bite my lip to stop laughing, my eyes flicking to Josh and Anna who are hiding their smiles.

“Tell us what you found in the crystal,” Taylor says and that sobers me up, the lightness I felt evaporating.

I take a breath and fill them in.

“So it was like it was real?” Josh asks. The fire crackles in the background as the tension rises, everyone focusing on the situation, plates now not being touched.
