“Wait, what?”
“I thought you were spying on me. I’m dating all the guys from the bank.”
“I have selective hearing when there’s so many boobs on the screen.”
I laughed.
“I thought I heard you mention something about that. But…tits.”
I shook my head. “Focus. You really think that’s what’s going on with this big tipper? That I’ve been neglecting my stream and he just wants to see more of me?”
Grudge shrugged. “Yeah. Or he’s a stalker or something. Or just won the lottery? Or Elias decided on a new username and is about to come bite your neck?”
“Not funny.”
“Have you heard from him at all?”
I shook my head. “No. Not since he skipped town.”
“Where do you think he went?” Grudge ran his fingers through his blue hair. He never looked nervous. But he looked nervous talking about this.
“I don’t know? To a vampire lair?”
“Just watch your back. The guy was…off. Talking to you and not asking you for naked pillow fights.”
I laughed.
“For all we know, he’s looking for you.”
“Well it’s a good thing I have a fancy new security system then.” But I wasn’t sure I believed the words I was saying. I hadn’t let Ace come upstairs. And I knew the trellis was a perfect way to get in and out of my house. I’m sure there were other ways too…for a blood sucking vampire.
I shook the thought away. Elias wasn’t coming here. I had enough supernatural creatures to worry about right now. And if Elias did somehow find me and come? Hopefully I’d have the cure by then.
“So when are you going to ask Kebe and Emma to come up?” Grudge asked.
“Never. Do you know anything about Mount Othrys?”
“No, but I can find out. Why?” He started typing.
“That’s the username of the guy who sent those big tips. MtOthrysXXX.”
“XXX.” Grudge rolled his eyes. “Over compensating much?” He squinted at his screen. “Looks like it’s just some mountain range in Greece.”
“Oh.” So it was a Greek thing. It just had nothing to do with Greek mythology.
“Are we going to talk about the fact that you’re planning a robbery? Or is that off-limits because I was eavesdropping like your hot new roommate?”
I laughed. “That’s really none of your business.”
“Which bank is it?”
Why did he want to know? “The one on Main Street.”
“Ah. Cool. Have fun with that. Can’t wait to stream with you from prison.”
I laughed. “I’m going to go talk to this mysterious Mount Othrys. Bye, Grudge.”
“Bring Kebe next time!”
