He groaned as his fingers slammed into me.
And I knew he was loving this as much as me, because I could feel his erection pressing against the small of my back.
I wasn’t sure if the lights were flickering again or if I was just starting to see stars. “Put your thumb back on my clit. Yes,” I moaned when he started circling it. I let my head roll back on his shoulder.
He circled his thumb faster as he kissed down the side of my neck and down my shoulder.
And I came, embarrassingly fast. With my skirt bunched around my waist in the middle of my kitchen. With a guy who 100% did not want to date me.What is wrong with me?I pushed his hand away from me.
He let me turn around and glare at him.
“You really are sexy when you’re pissed off.”
“Otto, what the hell?”
He raised his eyebrow at me. “What?” He put his fingers in his mouth, licking my juices off of them.
Jesus.
“I’m pretty sure you enjoyed every second of that.”
“No. I mean, yes. No! Seriously, what the hell was that? You literally just told me you can’t date me.”
“Yeah, but I really like doing things I’m not supposed to.” He smiled out of the corner of his mouth. “Don’t you?”
I swallowed hard.
“I have to go,” Otto said. “Because Ireallycan’t stand another second of being in a room with that guy. Trust me. But how about you come over for dinner tomorrow night at my place? It can be just the two of us. No surprise guests. After all…we’re already dating, right? It’s about time you saw my place.”
I was still confused. So…he did want to date me? Or…he didn’t? I couldn’t tell when he was joking around or not. But I found myself nodding anyway. I wanted more of whatever that was.
“Good. I’ll text you. See you tomorrow, Zoey.”
The lights dimmed again as he walked out of the kitchen. I stared up at the ceiling. What the fuck is going on?
Chapter 8
Wednesday
Zoey
Normally I liked to start my nights by talking to Elias. He was always on at exactly 10 pm every weeknight. Always. But I’d been waiting for fifteen minutes and he was a no show. For the first time in two years.
He’d promised to do some research for me about vampires. But he’d had a lot of questions about why I wanted to know. I was already a little suspicious of him because all he ever did was talk to me. But now that he wasn’t here? Right after the vampire discussion?
Something just didn’t feel right.
I took a bite of my banana and arched my back.
Honestly, everything felt off recently. I thought I’d moved to this safe little town, but a vampire had shown up on my doorstep. And a few people got murdered last weekend at the Fall Festival. Which somehow wasn’t related to Callum. What the hell was going on?
As soon as Grudge’s username popped up on my screen I clicked on it. I had a thing or two to discuss with my so-called friend.
“What, you’re not going to finish your banana?” he asked.
I glared at him and took a violent bite of it.
“I feel like I’m in trouble…”
