Lily: I'm still mad that you didn't say anything to me ?? but anything for my girl ????
Monica: okay, love. I'll catch you up later.
Me: sorry for not saying that Ares and I are technically in a relationship. It literally just happened.
Lily: relationship.
Monica: whoa ??
Monica: you're actually admitting it. Lily, call for help ??
Lily: call the Calvary! Our girl is saying things.
Lily: you sure this isn't Ares texting instead?
Before I could respond to her, Ares stopped the car. I looked up, and he was parked in front of the business building.
I turned to look at him, but he wasn't looking at me. Instead, he drummed his fingers against the steering wheel.
"I'm going to do what you did for me. Let's go home."
Ares reared his head back and looked at me with shock written all over his face.
"But you have class and a schedule. I'll be fine."
"Look, I know we've, or rather I've had my fair share of being dicktimus prime to you, so I can say as a friend, but as someone who quite literally has accepted to be your girlfriend in less than 5 hours ago, I think I should be here with you. What do you say?"
Ares said nothing for a second. It took a second that felt too long, but I relaxed a bit when he backed out and away from the building. I knew just how to keep his mind relaxed instead of being upset.
“Dicktimus prime, huh?”
Ares repeated, and the smirk on his face made me smile.
"First thing that popped up in my head, unfortunately."
"I can see where your mind is at then."
I chuckled and ignored his comment.
"We have to pass by the grocery store. We've got to get some stuff, so it completes what we're going to do."
"What are we going to do?"
"We're going to cheer you up my way. I've got games."
"Like board games?"
"Exactly, and then some."

When we returned to the apartment, I went to my room to change into an oversized t-shirt and boxers.
"Ares," I called his name out while leaving the room. "Where did you get these boxers? They're heaven…ly."
My words slowed as his gaze caressed my body, and a wave of desire rushed through me. The feeling of butterflies swarming my belly returned tenfold at his simple stare.
"I have more."
