I glare at him. “I suggest you stop it if you want me to bring you that lunch at your job, Mr. Hale.”

Oran’s smirk turns devious and he goes back to making breakfast. “You better bring me my shit, Ainslee. Or else,” he warns.

“Or else what?” I ask.

Oran looks at me from over his shoulder. “Watch that little mouth of yours. Mrs. Hale, I’m your boyfriend right now. There’s so many ways I could fuck with your body and not give you anything.”

I suck my bottom lip into my mouth. “Mmmm.” I pop it out. “You promise?”

Oran tsks. “Little horndog. I mention sex once and there you are, fucking heart eyes for my dick.”

I laugh hard. “Should I stop?” I ask as he places breakfast on two plates.

He places pancakes, sausage, and eggs on my plate. His is triple the servings on my plate. He comes around and pulls me in for a scorching kiss. “Good morning.”

“Good morning,” I hum.

He goes back to sit across from me. “You couldn’t stop those fucking heart eyes if you wanted to. Your heart eyes, your heart, those chocolatey ass nipples, that juicy ass and that gushing pussy is all mine. I think about tattooing my name on your ass sometimes, you know?”

I roll my eyes. “Oran…”

He shrugs. “What? I do. It’ll say ‘here cums Oran’, maybe for both your pussy and your ass actually.”

“My ass isn’t yours though, not officially,” I tease him.

Oran chokes on his coffee for a second. He calms and then he gives me a look that lets me know I’m fucked. “We’re changing that, Bug. We’re so changing that. You just wait.” There’s this twinkle in his eye and I know the mischievous expression on his face won’t go away, no matter what.

Ainslee

To keepmy mind off things, I go to my bakery and I bake. Luci is sitting on a stool in the kitchen, watching me like I’m some kind of idiot. “Word on the street is that that big guy is pissed at you.”

I look up at Luci and flip her the bird, even if my hand has flour all over it. “He’s...just slightly upset. He’s not even that mad,” I say, looking at one of the cousins that I know for a fact wouldn’t bat an eyelash at killing someone.

Luci sips her iced coffee and shrugs with a smirk. “I could teach him a little lesson if you want.”

I laugh, “He’d love to be poisoned so he can prove a point. No thanks.”

“Let’s shoot him in the kneecap,” she offers, her eyes sparkling from that.

“You shoot me in the kneecap, I’ll aim for your fucking head, psycho,” Mikonos says as he walks into the kitchen.

Luci’s eyes take him in as she continues to sip her iced coffee as if he didn’t just tell her he’d shoot her in the head. “Sounds like you’re looking to fuck, big guy.”

Mikonos smirks and I shake my head. I don’t know why Luci and Mikonos always do this around each other. I shudder at the thought of them fucking; Mikonos has planted a damned seed in my head that I cannot unsee.

“Are you thinking about me fucking, Ainslee?” Mikonos says to me.

I look up at him, glaring hard. “No. Fuck off,” I say. He cocks his brow like he’s leaving. “Wait… no, this is fucked. Look, I’m sorry, okay?”

Mikonos smirks. “Since I know nosey-ass Luci won’t leave the room, I’ll tell you this. I’m not mad at whatever the fuck you think I’m mad at. I know the mom thing was a slip up and you weren’t trying to hurt my feelings. It doesn’t hurt as much as finding out that you were being fucking hurt right under my nose. Ains, we grew up together, I’m livid that I didn’t fucking know! Do you understand?”

I sigh, stopping what I’m doing. “Yes. I understand. I couldn’t tell you. If I did, you would’ve killed her without a word to my dad and you would’ve had to face that punishment. I couldn’t lose you or Markos.”

“You don’t make that decision for me, you hear me?” Mikonos says with unfiltered anger.

I start to nod but then I stop, shaking my head instead. “No, fuck that, you are my family. I will always make that decision for you, Orion. Always.”
