Jagger raises his brow. “Next in line, huh? Like you take over the Bishops whenever Andres croaks out?”

“Yes. Problem?” I playfully challenge him.

He snorts. “Fuck no. That’s about the sexiest thing you’ve ever said to me. I just got hard thinking about you shooting someone.”

“Oh, yeah?”

“Yeah, baby.” He answers.

“Well, how hard can you get when I tell you I paid Layla a visit, made her beg me at gunpoint? She even fucking cried those alligator tears and you know what I told her?”

“What’d you tell her, baby?” Jagger asks, his voice drops an octave which means he’s turned on. His hand slips back inside the boxer-briefs I’m wearing. His hand bypasses the puckered hole this time and I get on the tip of my toes so he can caress my clit.

“I told her to leave and disappear. To give the little money, she took to fuck you and donate it to charity. She can’t have either Hanlon men. One of them belongs to me and the other, he’s a fucking lost cause. I shot past her ear and I’m pretty sure she pissed herself. Want to hear my parting words?” I tease breathlessly.

Jagger removes his hand and walks me backwards until he slams me into the glass wall. He hikes up one leg then yanks me up by the collar of the shirt and I wrap the other leg around his waist. His body is holding me securely as he breathes hard. “Tell me word for fucking word, Ainslee.” He groans.

I breathe hard as I hear the zipper of pants echo in the room, joining the sound of our shallow breathing. Jagger lets go of the collar as he slips the boxers to the side and positions himself at my entrance. He slips in a little but not enough for me to rock into him. I try to move but he slams me back against the wall again, grabbing the collar. “Tell me.” His tone is dark and dangerous. Reminding me of the Jagger I knew growing up.

“I told herI won’t kill you because I want others to know that Ainslee Bishops the next-in-line has let you live. Run and tell that, motherfuc—.”

Everything is cut short as Jagger takes away my ability to speak, breath and I swear the ability to live. I moan, gripping his biceps as he fucks me like he owns me. He hikes up the leg resting up on his inner elbow higher as he slams that palm on the glass causing me to feel him deeper and in a way that I’m sure Jagger is the porn-star not me. I moan like he’s driving me crazy, like a bitch in heat. Like a lunatic made to be even worse because she’s got the best adrenaline rush of her life. One that’ll never go away. Right in this moment, I know one thing, I’ll kill any and every one for Jagger Liam Hanlon.

Chapter 11

Jagger

If Ainslee didn’t leave, I don’t know if I would have been able to go back to work. Some may call me a nympho, a sex addict and all, but I’m pretty sure I’m just addicted to her pussy. It’s hard for me to picture life without Ainslee in it suddenly. I don’t know what it is or how we got here but we’re here and now; I want to make it perfect for her. I want to give her any and everything she’s ever wanted in her life.

I run my fingers through my hair for the umpteenth time; I don’t know how long I’ve been here but I feel like I need to call it quits for the day? Or is it night? I look at the time on my Mac, it’s well beyond Eleven. Shit, when did I last get my head out of these damn documents? My father clearly needs to be better at his job because he was tanking our family company. I reach for my phone and it’s dead. Of course it is. I sigh, gathering everything up and shutting shit down.

When I got in, I figured Ainslee would be asleep, but she’s up sitting on the counter in pajama pants and a tank top. One knee is close to her chest and her other leg is swinging back and forth. She’s staring at something on her phone screen, a box of Oreos, and is that a gun? I stare at it again, yes it’s a gun. I hear a toilet flush from the spare room, and after a minute, Mikonos comes out.

He stands there staring at me as he shakes his hands to dry them.

“How long has she been like that?” I ask Mikonos. “She’s eating Oreos. I may not have been friends with her before this but I know that when she’s eating Oreos, she will do something drastic.”

Mikonos smirks. He eyes me up and down for a second, then he nods. “Yeah, Lina just announced she’s pregnant.”

“Okay?” I say not understanding.

“It’s Eli’s. She tagged Ains in it. I offered to take care of them both quietly, but she asked me to go buy her Oreos. Now, she’s got her gun out and she’s been staring at the same pic for hours. I tried calling you. Maybe you can get her to snap out of it.”

I nod, throwing my briefcase on the couch and removing my suit jacket. “Go now,” I say to Mikonos not even looking his way as I remove my shoes.

I undo my tie, taking that off too, un-tuck my shirt and start unbuttoning it. I hear the elevator ding alerting me that Mikonos is gone. I walk up to where Ainslee is, and I snatch her phone out of her hand. The second I do that, Ainslee reaches for her gun and points it right at my head. I smirk. “You’d shoot your husband over your ex?” I say placing my hands in my pocket.

Ainslee blinks and puts her gun back down. It’s funny how I’ve seen none of her guns on display, but now, they’re just leisurely there. I move back and lean on the counter; I cross my arms waiting for her to talk. I don’t want to be pissed for nothing. My entire attitude has changed from trying to console her to getting pissed that she would pull a gun on me over her fucking loser ex.

Ainslee merely shrugs. “I would not shoot you.” She answers.

“Hmm.” I answer. I unbuckle my belt and pull it out of my pant’s loops. I throw it across the room. I unbutton and unzip. “So, how do you want me? Pissed or calm? You choose.”

Ainslee looks up at me. She stops swinging her leg and just stares at me. I cross my arms again. “What?” She asks.

“Let me get this straight. You’re mad because you saw that your piece of shit ex is having a baby with your piece of shit friend? Tell me this though, why does it matter to you?” I ask.
