“Like so, so much better,” I said.
“You’ve got your arm up in the air right now, don’t you? Trying to show me something I can’t even see.”
I rolled my eyes,
“I forget how well you know me.”
“Yeah…” he said and then grew quiet for a moment, “Lil’ darlin’?”
“Yes, Bubba?” I answered him as I shut my eyes.
“Pick a color.” He said.
“Uh, white.”
“Alright, then we’re wearing white for prom. I’m not gon’ wear a white suit or nothin’ like that but I’ll do the classic black tux and all that. I’ll ask pops.”
I smiled at his planning. He was too cute.
“You’re so cute,” I said.
Carson didn’t reply instead, my phone started ringing again and he was video calling me now. I picked up and turned a lamp on for some light.
“You see what you do to me?” He said as he showed me his face.
“Aww, Carson are you blushing, baby?” I bit my bottom lip as the term made him blush even more.
It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. He had his hair up, so his ears and his cheeks showed his blush. I snapped a screenshot of it.
“This is going to be my favorite picture even though I look stupid in it.”
“Hol’ on,” he said as his video went on pause and then I got a message from him.
He sent me a picture of us that I never knew was taken. We had all gone to the family cottage in New York with Uncle Mike, Gabriella, and the twins. We were outside, both of us playing in the snow and we were laughing so hard at something.
“Who took this picture?” I asked.
“My YouTube buddy Gabby, she said she was going to use it as content on her videos. Do you not watch them?”
I rolled my eyes, “The majority of them are about slime so no, I don’t but she does take great pictures.”
He smiled, nodding.
“That she does. Alright,” he started off. “I’m gon’ let you catch some Z’s, and should I pick you up in the morning?”
I shook my head, “No, let me ride with Tony so I can tell him about us. I’m not going to hide you in school,” I said.
Carson smiled like a fool.
“Alright, Lil darlin’ that works for me. See you at school. Me too,” he said. He was blushing again, his amber eyes lightening up.
I smiled, “Night, baby. Me too.”
We both knew we loved each other but we had to make sure we fell in love harder before we could say it and I was okay with that.
