“I’m okay,” she says after a few seconds. “I’m not going to let them ruin my wedding day.”

She takes off to join Andy.

Holy crap.

I watch as Caroline confronts Christian for the first time. She doesn’t hold anything back, telling him that he broke both Erica’s and Andy’s hearts.

I move next to Tyler, who takes my hand firmly in his.

“We just want a chance to talk to you,” Rachel pleads.

“Not today,” Caroline says, raising her voice for the first time. “This is our wedding.”

“I’m sorry,” Rachel exclaims. “We feel terrible that we can’t be there for you today.”

“Because of your choices,” Andy reminds them. “Maybe we can talk at a later date, but you both need to leave now. I’ll call security if I have to.”

Christian and Rachel finally get the hint and walk away.

“I’m so sorry, baby,” Andy says to Caroline.

She holds up her hands. “I don’t care about them. I care about us and our loved ones who are waiting to celebrate with us.”

She looks at me and Tyler, and her eyes travel down to our hands, which are still linked.

She gasps and covers her mouth. “Wait. Are you two—?”

Tyler lifts my hand and kisses it.

“This is exactly what I needed right now,” she squeals, throwing her arms around us. “Now we have even more reason to celebrate.”

She leans into me as we walk to join the rest of the wedding party. “I’m so happy for you. I told you it could happen, darlin.”

I giggle. “Yes, you did.”

“You better catch my bouquet.”

My roll my eyes. “I’m not superstitious.”

“Well, I am,” she says with a wink.

The planners don’t waste any time getting us into our positions. What a whirlwind this has been, I feel like I haven’t had a second to think all day.

“Is Erica okay?” I ask after joining Matt in line.

“She’s doing good, considering.”

I breathe a sigh of relief as the DJ begins calling our names. I’m in desperate need of a drink and an evening with Tyler.

The reception is in full swing, and thankfully Rachel and Christian are nowhere in sight. Although those two are so brazen I wouldn’t be surprised to find them partaking in the open bar.

The Carlisle family spared no expense for the reception. The decor is exquisite with floor to ceiling florals, lanterns, and candles. The meal consists of three delicious courses, and I enjoy every bite. Tyler makes subtle gestures throughout dinner—putting his arm on the back of my chair, touching my knee, and reaching for my hand.

Clint and Erica both give beautiful toasts. Erica manages to get through hers, only breaking down once. Caroline is crying off and on, of course. Thankfully, they are happy tears.

I’m extra emotional during Andy and Caroline’s first dance. They’ve come such a long way from their first meeting at that fraternity party, or “the library” if you’re talking to Caroline’s mother. The father and mother dances always bring the tears. Thankfully, it’s time for cake, which lightens the mood.
