Whoa. I can’t believe she actually stayed.

“Jeannie told me that Mark thought he saw her,” I say. “Does Caroline know?”

She nods. “Yes. She said she didn’t care as long as she stays away from Erica.”

This doesn’t surprise me. Caroline isn’t the type of person to have her removed from the hotel all together.

“We need to make sure she doesn’t try to come in here,” she says adamantly. “Keeping her away from Caroline and Erica isourjob.”

She makes it sounds like we’re a team, working together for the greater good.

I nod in agreement. “Absolutely.”

Leslie walks away and heads toward the entrance. Is she planning on standing guard all night? I’ll keep an eye out, but I have other plans for this evening. I gather my thoughts as I search for Tyler in the sea of people. I spot him talking to Matt and Clint, so I start to make my way over to them.

“Hello.”

All three of them turn to face me.

“Hello, gorgeous,” Matt says, giving me a side hug.

Clint compliments me, and Tyler takes my hand and spins me around before pulling me toward him.

“You know there are strict rules about overshadowing the bride at these functions,” Tyler whispers.

I roll my eyes. “No one could overshadow Caroline, ever.”

He gives a shrug. “I disagree.”

His close proximity is making me lightheaded, so I say the first thing that comes to my mind.

“Did you guys hear that Rachel is still here in the hotel?”

They all exchange glances.

“Yep. Andy said to ignore her and have fun,” Clint says, taking a sip of his drink.

Tyler leans over and whispers, “Do you want to talk?”

I nod nervously.

Tyler excuses us and offers me his arm.

We’re on our way outside when one of the planners announces that all members of the wedding party need to gather.

Tyler sighs. “To be continued.”

As soon as we meet up with the rest of the crew, Leslie makes a beeline for Tyler.

“Are you ready, partner?” she asks, her voice sultry. She wraps her hand around his bicep.

“Sure. Let’s rehearse.”

Leslie throws a smug glance at me while tightening her grasp on his arm.

Whatever. I refuse to let her get bother me because that’s exactly what she wants.

The rehearsal begins, and we walk through the ceremony three times. Honestly, this seems kind of silly to me. We’ve all been to plenty of weddings in our lifetimes, and the procession doesn’t vary that much. I know tradition is extremely important to Caroline’s family, so I make every attempt to be very focused the entire time. Andy’s cousin Vincent doesn’t join the team now that Rachel has also been removed from the wedding party. The bridal party must remain balanced.
