Because I knew how it felt to have trust broken, he and Cameron had seen to that.

I closed my eyes, forcing myself to relax, determined to open up and clear the air about that catastrophe before much longer.I would hold him accountable for breaking my heart.Just not right now.Not while I was in his arms, and we were the only two people in the world.

Me:Everything will be fine without me for one night.

I finished the text to Blake and sent it off before I could ask what the hell business it was of his whether I took a night off or not.Business had never been better, and everything was running smoothly across the board.

Why not take a night off?

More than that.A night off with the woman sitting beside me in the back of a sleek town car.“Are you sure about this?”she asked once she felt my attention fall on her as she looked out the window.“Because I’m starting to feel a little nervous.”Like she needed to tell me after her knee had bounced up and down the whole way across town.

Looking at her was enough to make me consider taking her here and now, in the back seat of this car.I planned on having a drink or two tonight and didn’t want the responsibility of driving, meaning I had the pleasure of giving her my full attention while running a hand over her stocking-covered knee.“We never have to do anything you aren’t enthusiastic about,” I reminded her.“We can turn around here and now. This was only an idea I had.”

It had come to me earlier in the week while observing the downstairs feed.Remembering my lost lamb back in LA.How nervous she had seemed… and excited. The flushed cheeks, heaving tits, and wide eyes weren’t all the result of fear. She had liked what she saw—more than that, she liked the idea.

I’d spent too many years watching my patrons experience that epiphany to miss it.

I had visited similar clubs countless times as an observer, sizing up the competition. This was the first time since becoming a business owner that I planned to participate, if only for Lenny’s sake. Her awakening—the only word for it—was almost addictive to witness.

My hand slid under the hem of her black trench coat and stroked the lace band, edging the stocking.“You don’t have to do anything at all.I could jerk off to the sight of you.”I wasn’t kidding. The blood-red corset under the trench coat pushed her tits up and out until they almost spilled over the top.Her black leather skirt was barely long enough to reach the tops of her stockings.I was a simple man when it came to what got me hard.

And I was hard as steel, taking her hand and placing it over my swollen dick to prove I wasn’t joking about what she did to me.Her teeth sank into her lip and left me groaning at the sight.“No, I want to try this,” she decided, rubbing me in slow circles.“I’ll regret it if I wimp out.”

“That’s my girl.”Still, I’d hedged my bets, choosing a club that was downright tame in comparison to mine.I had visited there and always found it sort of trite.Like a theme park experience in comparison—flashy, fun, but fizzy.

“Club Sin.”She lifted a shoulder.“Nice name.”

“You’re allowed to say you like it.I won’t get offended,” I promised as we pulled up beneath the neon red sign displaying the club’s name.“Are you sure you don’t want one of these?”I asked, holding up a second mask matching the one I now wore.

She considered it, then shook her head.“I’m a little tired from wearing that every night. You said it’ll be really dark inside, right?”

“Barely legal light levels unless something has changed since my last visit.”

“Then I’ll be fine… but maybe bring it in your pocket, just in case.”Like I wouldn’t have, anyway.

Leaving her coat and purse at the front counter meant she was displayed in all her glory as she tucked her claim ticket into the top of her stocking, then ran a hand over her shining brown waves.Compared to her, I looked downright boring in a dark suit. Not that anyone would be looking at me when they caught a glimpse of her.

“You look incredible,” I said, and she bit back a grin.A rush of jealousy washed over me as I imagined the men inside looking at her.I hadn’t considered that when I came up with this idea.

It was my hand she held as I led her through the deep purple curtains and into the dark, raucous club. The shift in energy between this place and what I was used to couldn’t have been more obvious.“It’s like Mardi Gras,” Lenny called out, a hand cupped around her mouth so I could hear her.

That was the perfect description.Men chanted as women made out drunkenly, sloppily, feeling each other up in the most awkward way. There was nothing behind it, no passion, no eroticism. It was like somebody singing in an empty parking garage.Flat.

“You are easily the hottest woman here,” I told her, letting my lips linger over her jaw. There was nothing like making her shiver.I wasn’t the only one who thought so either. As we slowly took a tour, I noticed her attracting attention. She was ripe fruit ready to be plucked from the vine, and I could read the minds of every man whose gaze lingered a moment too long.Men who eventually locked eyes with me and stepped down.Clearly, the lady was not alone. She was mine.

After making our first round, we stopped over at the bar.A scotch for me, a martini for her.“What do you think so far?”I asked.God, her tits were beyond gorgeous, begging me to bury my face between them.I savored the smooth scotch but would much rather have savored the taste of her rosy nipples, the sounds she made when I sucked them.

“I can see the difference now.”I didn’t realize until she met my gaze that she was looking at everything through professional eyes. She wasn’t letting herself become part of the moment.“I mean if they do business and make money here, more power to them.Personally, I like that our guests don't have to take a course of penicillin after sitting on the furniture.”

I almost choked on a mouthful of scotch, laughing.“I didn’t mean that way.I meant as a guest. What do you think?”

“Oh, right.”She looked down into her glass.“Maybe it’s easier to think about it as a business.”

“Like I said. There’s never any pressure. But since we are here, try to let yourself relax and enjoy yourself as a guest. The way they are,” I suggested, placing her empty glass on the bar for her once she finished.“Look at that couple in the corner.”
