“Maybe we should stay above the waistline for now.”I wink and she greets me with a giggle, breaking character.
“Sure thing, boss.”Her sass is something new and refreshing.Normally, I’d hate it coming out of a person’s mouth but she’s got this playfulness to her that separates her from the pack.Olivia, my business partner, gives me sass all the time but has no playfulness to it, she’s all business and no fun.
Finally releasing her delicate hands, she moves to the top of my head and lays me back down on the table.Her fingers work my scalp and if I didn’t want to watch her, I’d be lulled to sleep.
“Tell me what brought you and your friends out to the bar last night,” I say, trying to avoid plundering into a sleep cycle.Plus, I want to know all about her friends since her social media is locked down unless you do a friend request.I’m trying not to show my stalking skills too early and don’t want to scare her away.
“Well, Saylor was meeting some old school buddies that were in town and dragged me along to meet them.She thought I’d like some of them.”
There’s more to the story, I can tell in the way her voice goes up and down.When I strolled over to their table it was mostly guys on the stools with only one other woman.
“She was trying to set you up,” I state.
She swallows and moves her eyes upward letting out a sigh.
“Yeah, I guess you could call it a blind date or something.”
The thought of her being set up with some stranger angers me.What if I’d not run into her at the courthouse?Would she have gone home with one of those losers?
“Guess we met at the right time then, huh.”
She looks down and even though we are looking at each other upside down she still takes my breath away.Her smile could light up stadiums.
“I was definitely relieved you came over when you did.I thought you might stand me up.”
“Never.”
I can’t stand it any longer.I’ve been restraining myself for far too long.She’s had her hands all over me and I’ve been gripping the sides of the table, to not pull her to me.
“I’m going to kiss you.”
I tell her but don’t give her a chance to respond.Twisting, I pick up her petite body and angle her so she’s face to face with me.She doesn’t protest so I take that as a green light.We meet in the middle as our lips press together.Her warm, soft lips move along with mine as our tongues dance along to their own accord.
Before I know it, I’ve got her pinned under me on the table as I’m hovering over her.My elbows and knees take most of my weight so as not to crush her.She’s a lot shorter than me but it’s like we fit perfectly.Two puzzle pieces made for each other.
The room has soft music playing but all I hear is the quiet moans coming from her mouth.
“We…have to stop,” Everly says in between our heavy make out session but I’m having the hardest time finding the brakes.Only a sheet and her tiny ass shorts separate me from her little treasure box of heaven.
My hands are on her breasts and hers are on my chest but she’s not pushing me away.
“Are you sure?”I pant and kiss my way down her jawline to her neck.
“Mhmm,” she mumbles.“Someone could walk in.Doors don’t have locks.”
Like a bucket of cool water raining over me, I gather the strength of Hercules and pull away.
“We’ll pick this up later at my place,” I assure her, giving her one last kiss to hold us both over until then.
Everly’s eyes have a dreamy glaze to them and I can’t help but wonder if mine look the same to her.
Flexing to give her a show, I maneuver to lift up so she’s able to move out from under me.As if that same cold bucket that fell on me got her too, she makes a show of straightening her clothes and hair.
“We shouldn’t have done that.”She’s touching her kiss-swollen lips, trying not to smile.“I could be fired if someone had walked in.This is my job.My much-needed job and I can’t be doing that.”
“I agree and I’m sorry.Next time we’ll have an appointment in my bed for a massage.”
I can tell she’s flustered as I swallow the chuckle caught in my throat.I’m not sure she’s ever had someone so forward speak to her this way.
