CJ should’ve punched him in the fucking face instead of the stomach. Maybe, then, the fuckhead couldn’t talk.

“It-it’s his n-nickname, Ryan,” Molly said around sniffles. “You said cunt isyourterm of endearment for me.”

Stefan and Robby, two of the best wide receivers on the team, laughed, mortifying Molly a little more. Her shoulders sagging, she bowed her head.

“I need to talk to my bitch alone,” Ryan announced, grabbing Molly’s elbow and jerking her forward.

She stumbled. Instead of attempting to catch her, Ryan released his hold, allowing her to fall to the ground. Adding insult to injury, he stooped and flipped her short cheer skirt over her waist. She wore a leotard underneath, but it was still a foul move.

CJ hated how Stefan and Robby were laughing at Molly’s expense, thanks to his fucking cousin. Gritting his teeth, he went to her, bent, and helped her to her feet. She leaned against him, shivers and sobs racking her.

“I’m going to fucking kill you, Ryan,” CJ swore, removing his jacket and allowing Molly to put it on.

“That’s fucking rich, CJ,” Ryan said bitterly. “How should I treat a slut? It’s obvious she’s fucking you. Or, at the very least, sucking you. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have told you about Ba—”

“Bash?” CJ said viciously. “She never told me a motherfucking thing about Bash. I didn’t know she knew that motherfucker.”

“You’re a liar.”

“I’ve been called a liar once too many times today, Ryan,” CJ warned. “Say it again, motherfucker, and I’ll smother you in your fucking sleep.”

He wouldn’t. First, he’d have to get past Hogzilla, then Uncle Val.

“How the fuck did you know about Bash if this cunt didn’t tell you?” Ryan demanded. “You told him about Bash, right, Molly?”

“What if she had?” CJ said, before she could incriminate herself. Remembering their conversation from the first time he visited her house, he cleared his throat, determined not to feel like a jackass. “She doesn’t trust me enough. Besides, mindreading is overrated.”

Ryan frowned. “Fucking…what?”

CJ refused to look at Molly. Somehow, he managed to keep a straight face as he continued. “Bash was at Turn Creek Bridge, fuckbag.”

Molly gasped.

If CJ announced little green Martians were creeping up on Ryan, his cousin wouldn’t have reacted by dropping his mouth open and losing every ounce of color in his face.

CJ glared at Stefan and Robby. “Get the fuck,” he ordered, “and don’t say a motherfucking thing to no fucking body.”

The boys scrambled away.

“CJ—”

“No, Ryan. I don’t want to fucking hear it. I don’t know what the fuck you’re involved in.Uninvolveyour motherfucking ass.”

CJ had never seen such gravity on Ryan’s face.

“He’s bad news, Ry,” he whispered. “Back away from whoever Bash is before you get caught up in a situation you can’t get out of so easily.”

Drawing in a deep breath, Ryan considered CJ for a moment, then glanced at Molly. “Says you, cuz? Just because you’re a pussy ass bitch, hiding behind Outlaw don’t mean I am.”

“Look, asshole—”

“Have you ever killed, cousin?”

“Have you?” CJ demanded, already knowing the answer.

Ryan smirked at CJ and stepped closer, until they were nose-to-nose. “I’m a real man, beta boy. I fuck. I kill. I smoke.”

“You’re going to get your stupid ass killed,” CJ uttered.
