QUESTION #1
Professional sports games: Are the outcomes
legitimate or predetermined?
j&kpitassist: there’s no way games are scripted. athletes are competitive and would have a really hard time throwing a game on purpose like that. plus there are so many elements to a sports game that cannot be controlled, like an accidental fumble or a ricochet or whatever.
bolly>holly: yeah but maybe it’s not scripted through the players but through the coaches and refs?
allnetbaby: oh this goes way back you can read it on this website that the ref in charge in the 2002 nba champs actually admitted that the game was fixed
rureddy4dis: There’s money to be had, so yes they rig it.
anime4life: idk much about sports but this guy gives seven specific examples about manipulated tournament brackets, unhealed injuries, etc.
qwerty1234: what a stupid topic. this is a total waste of time.
rubecuber9: @qwerty1234 then go away. here’s my big question with all of this… thousands of professional athletes across all sports over decades and decades, and they’re all able to keep this big secret? i highly doubt it.
sofi-sof: Yeah, it’s probably somewhere in the middle. Semi-controlled, semi-rigged. They can’t control the player but they could totally influence the system.
