“Let’s get you cleaned up.”

Drake

I rolled off the bed and tugged her into my arms, carrying her into the adjoining bathroom, and kicked the door shut. Her legs were wrapped around my waist, her head buried in the crook of my neck. I held her tight as I turned on the spray of the water.

“Let’s get these clothes off.”

I set her on her feet and helped her strip bare before me. Her body was a sight, even with the dirt and grime covering her smooth skin. The black remnants of her kidnapping made me shudder as I brushed her hair off her face. She smiled, watching my every move as I removed my clothing.

“The tattoo.” She ran her fingers over the words written across my heart. “It’s for me, isn’t it?”

“Yes.” I ran my palm down her side, tracing her floral tattoo. “And these?”

“Helped me remember you.”

I backed her into the stall and pressed her against the tiled wall. The water was hot, making the tiny space fill with steam. Despite the heat of the water, I could feel the fire burning inside her.

“This means there is no going back—you understand that, right?”

She nodded as her hands pressed into my chest. “I need to hear you say it, Mackenzie. I need to know you want this. That you can forgive the past and look toward the future.”

“I understand.”

I grabbed the shampoo behind her and squeezed its contents into my hands. I lathered them together and rubbed my palms into her hair. My fingers scraped her scalp, washing away the grime and grit of the past few days. Her head fell back, resting against the wall. I pulled down the shower head and rinsed the soap away, watching as the water swirled down the drain. Once the water ran clear, I hung the sprayer back up. My hands ran down her body as I stepped closer and wedged my knee between her legs. She looked at me, her face flushed from the heat of the shower—or maybe it was from her desire.

“What do you want, Kenz?” I growled out, my heart pounding.

“Just you.”

She stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to mine. The kiss was gentle but demanding. I lost all control and lifted her up, her legs winding around me like a vine. Our bodies became one as we lost ourselves in each other.

Mackenzie slipped her hand between our bodies and wrapped her fingers around my shaft. It was hard and swollen with need.

“Fuck,” I groaned as she stroked me, her hand fisting my cock.

She smiled, her eyes dancing with mischief as she guided me to her entrance. “Make love to me, Drake. Help me remember.”

I drove into her core with one hard thrust. Her body arched as I seated myself inside her. The slick sounds of our skin smacking against each other echoed off the walls of the bathroom. She wiggled, demanding that I move. I wasted no time and fucked her hard. Our mouths were a tangled mess as we kissed beneath the spray of the water. It was like being home when I was inside her. Her body gripped me, tightening around my cock as she burst with her release. Mackenzie screamed out, her eyes closing as she gave herself over to the rapture of our love. I wasn’t far behind her as my cock swelled and exploded inside her. My come filled her womb, planting my seed deep inside her core.

“I love you.” Her words were breathy as she kissed me. I knew this was the beginning of everything, but I wasn’t stupid to think it would be easy. I had a decade of time to make up to her, but I would.

“Let’s get you dressed. My parents and Danny will be back soon.”

“They left?” She looked panicked for a moment.

“Hey.” I cupped her cheek. “They’re fine. I promise. No one is going to hurt them.”

“Okay.”

I helped her from the shower and dried her off, then used the towel to dry myself. Wrapping it around my waist, I held her hand as we walked out into the bedroom.

“I think I have something you can wear. I keep extra clothes here in case Danny and I stay over.”

She went to the closet and fished out some leggings and a T-shirt for her and tossed me some gray sweatpants.

“Do I want to know why you have men’s sweats in your closet?”

“Don’t you recognize them?”
