“You know, I think you have a great idea,” Levi said.

Crewe walked over and slid his arm around Ry’s waist. “Having fun?” he whispered close to her ear, taking great pride in the shiver that ran through her.

She turned and gave him that smile that he hoped he’d be waking up to tomorrow.

“I am,” she said, then her attention was caught by something across the room. Crewe turned to look and chuckled. Levi and Rose seemed to be having quite the discussion if the gestures were any indication. Levi threw his arms out in a awhat the hellgesture, then he bent over and tossed Rose over his shoulder.

He walked by them, waving at everyone. “Nothing to see here, people. Just a little discussion between friends.”

“Everything okay, Rose?” Beth called.

“Yes, it’s time for this hard-headed, pig-headed, can’t-listen-to-anyone-else’s-opinion MC President to have his opinion changed,” Rose yelled back.

Ry snickered against him, and Crewe joined in. Laughter from everyone filled the MC.

“I don’t know about you all, but I sure wish we had the parking lot wired for video,” Sin said, grinning.

Crewe had to say he wouldn’t mind it either. He knew Rose a little bit. Former police officer who worked for the bail bonds now. She was a strong personality, and it seemed like Levi was too. He’d have to be to lead an MC. He was sure Ry would get all the good gossip on them sometime this week.

Men might say that women gossiped more, but Crewe had grown up with men, and the Nelson clan men gossiped just as muchas women. Halligan prided himself on always knowing what was going on in town and was downright surly if someone heard something first.

He stared into Ry’s eyes and cocked an eyebrow. Her mischievous grin had him taking her hand and leading her out to the bike. He helped her put on her helmet, running his hand across her shoulders and down to grasp her lush butt, pulling her toward him. He laid claim to her lips, not caring who saw them.

He reluctantly pulled back and got on his bike, waiting to start it up until Ry was settled behind him.

“Let’s hope we don’t see anyone at the hotel. I’d like to get you in our room as quickly as possible, you temptress,” he said, pulling out. He didn’t wait for Ry’s reply, just pulled out and headed toward their bed.

Chapter Eighteen

Ry followed Crewe as he held her hand and led her into the resort. An elevator opened just as they walked up. Crewe hustled them into the elevator, then repeatedly pushed the button to close the doors. As they slid closed, he turned toward her.

“Three floors to get a taste of you,” he muttered, running his finger across her lips, down her neck, dipping into her cleavage, and then back up to her neck to grasp her head, tugging her closer. Hislips and tongue swept in. Ry’s toes curled, and she shivered.

Crewe’s touch was electric. If he could do this in the elevator, she couldn’t wait to be alone. He ravaged her mouth, leaning her against the wall. His knee wedged between her legs as he cuddled closer.

Crewe slid one hand down to her bottom, grasping it and lifting her. She wondered if it would be rude to rub her core against his knee. This man had her wet and wanting him with just a kiss and his touch.

A ding heralded another floor.

Crewe whispered one more floor against her lips, then trailed his mouth across her face to nibble her ear. She squirmed, trying to rub her hardening nipples against his chest—anything to feel him closer.

Another ding and Crewe pulled back. He grinned, grasped her around the waist, and tossed her over his shoulder.

“Crewe,” she squeaked.

“Don’t be shy now. I saw how you looked when you saw Rose over his shoulder,” he said, whistling as he carried her down the hall. She tried to identify the song he was whistling, but then he was opening the door to their room. She didn’t care what he’d been whistling. All she cared about now was being with the man she couldn’t stop thinking about.

Crewe closed the door, then laid her on the bed, coming down with his knees between her opened legs.

“Crewe,” she said because now it was real. He was going to see her, and she was going to see him.

“Ry, Ryanne, even Ryan—when I want to see the fire in your eyes—if this isn’t what you want this minute or you’re not ready for this, then say no. We’ll go join the kids for a movie, or we’ll take the bike up the canyon roads. But if you say yes, there’s no going back. You’re agreeing to be my woman, meaning all the things that involves…”

“Like what?” she interrupted because hello, she was an independent woman and wasn’t going tojust be the little woman. It might be good for some women, but not her.

He bit his lip, his grin reaching his eyes. “It means that sometimes you let me shoulder the load. I’m not saying you have to stop being you, but you let me in—all in, meaning if you need help, you ask. You’re not alone anymore.”

“But,” Ry said.
