My mouth parts, confusion still swimming around.
“She, I mean, what,” Brick stutters, and Jaylen chuckles.
“Yeah, she asked me to marry her and not in a few months or next year. She wants to marry me right now,” he replies, not breaking eye contact with me.
“I’ll grab the ring you’ve got in your nightstand and the leather and pick the marriage certificate up from our guy on my way to the hospital, so I’ll be about an hour. Do you want anyone else there?” Brick says without hesitation, already seeing what Jaylen needed, and my tears fall, catching on why he called him.
He already had a ring.
Jaylen replies, “Just my dad.”
“Okay, I won’t tell anyone then until it’s done, otherwise they’ll storm the hospital.” Brick replies, then hangs up, all while my breathing picks up.
“Just like that, huh?” I choke with a giggle, and he grins before placing a kiss on my lips and whispering, “Just like that.”
“Fuck, we’re having a wedding,” my dad chokes and I grin against Jaylen’s mouth who grins back before kissing me then whispering, “You’re not getting rid of me now, shorty, my ring on your finger, my cut on your back.”
“Sounds pretty awesome to me,” I admit, finally feeling at peace for the first time in months, and Jaylen kisses me again, holding me close to him.
We’re about to get married!
An hour later, I’m laying up against Jaylen’s side, my dad sitting on the chair next to us complaining about some client when the door opens and a grinning Brick walks in, his dark blue eyes sparkling as he announces, “Are we ready to get married,” and I laugh at the idiot as Eagle rushes in after him with excitement.
“I think we’ve all been ready for this, Brick,” my dad says, and Brick agrees, “That we have, and now, you can’t leave the garage,” while Eagle mutters, “Amen to that.”
I chuckle and look at Jaylen to see his eyes already on me.
“You know there is no going back, shorty, as soon as you say I do, I am never letting you go again,” he whispers as he cups my cheek, and my eyes tear up.
“Were you ever going to let me go?” I ask, and he grins his wicked grin and admits, “No,” and I chuckle as I lean forward and kiss his lips lightly.
“Hey, none of that yet,” Brick states, and I grin, happiness filling.
I’m not stupid, I know things won’t be easy. We have big hurdles to get over, but honestly, there is nobody else I want to try and get over them with.
“Okay,” Brick says, and we look at him as he states, “We are gathered here today…”
Chapter 29
Viper – Two Days Later
I smirk as I watch the brothers in the common room talk shit and drink while my girl, my fucking wife, is sitting next to Ivy, her head on her shoulder. She’s trying to be at ease being at the clubhouse with Cherri here, the same Cherri I really want to fucking kick out.
I tilt my head as we lock eyes and I raise a brow to ask, ‘Are you okay?’ and she cutely twitches her nose and I nod in understanding.
She needs me.
Placing my water, yes fucking water because my girl is refusing to let me drink even one beer, and walk over to her, my sole focus, her, looking beautiful in my shirt and leggings.
She thinks she looks a mess, I think she looks hot as fuck, and my dick agrees.
Nearly seven months without her tight heat, and I am definitely feeling it, but that will change tonight, because tonight, I’ll be spending it inside her consummating out marriage.
Just as I get near her table, a body jumps in front of me, stopping me in my tracks, and I lock eyes with Cherri.
Stupid, stupid woman.
“Hey Viper,” she says as she goes to touch my chest, and I snarl at her as I grab her wrist before she makes contact.
