It didn’t make sense. He opened the text thread again. Read it.
I can’t.
Call freddy.
Beau shut the phone. Spit flooded his mouth as the urge to throw up lurched his whole body forwards.
He leaned over the couch, bile splashing on the floor, staining the edge of the rug under the coffee table.
Oh, fuck. Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck—
This couldn’t be happening. Emilio wouldn’t do this to him. Hewouldn’t.
There was no space for dignity in his cramping body. He called Emilio’s number.
It rang once. Twice. The line clicked.
“Beau.” Emilio’s voice was low, a rough scratch.
“Hey. Sorry. I was just…did you give your phone to someone else?” Beau asked. His head was spinning. The taste of vomit coated his mouth.
There was silence on the other end of the line.
“Emilio?” Beau whispered.
“I know you’re confused because you’re in heat, but you need to call Freddy, okay? Do you have his number?”
Beau blinked at his dark TV. His throat had closed up.
“Beau? Do you have Freddy’s number?”
“Yes,” Beau croaked.
“Okay. When you hang up, you need to call him and tell him you’re in heat. Tell him to bring food and blankets, okay? Where are you?”
Beau swallowed. “Home.”
“Where at home?”
“The couch.”
“Okay. You think you can make it to the bed?” Emilio asked like what was happening was totally normal.
Nothing made sense. “Is this…if I do this…will you not be mad at me anymore?” Beau whispered.
There was a long, long silence. “I’m not mad at you. I’m not…you just need to call Freddy, okay?”
Was that what it would take? If Beau took the punishment and let another Alpha fuck him, if Beau showed Emilio that he had learnt his lesson, would Emilio want him again? “And then everything will be okay? You’ll…we’ll be okay?”
A burst of breath crackled over the line. “Yes, Beau. Everything will be okay. We’ll be okay. Promise me you’ll call Freddy.”
Beau steadied himself. “I promise.”
“Okay. Good. Do it now, okay?” Emilio said, and he sounded so kind, as if he were giving Beau a gift instead of tearing him apart.
“Okay.”
There was a moment of silence. The line went dead.
