It’d be fine. One more sleep and he’d get to see Levy.

Alonso managed to sneak away in the late afternoon. He’d gotten ready and told his dad he needed to coordinate with Levy on how to get to the event hall, which his dad had grudgingly accepted.
He knocked on Levy’s door, not sure why he was so nervous, but his heart still skipped when Levy was suddenly revealed.
Alonso had seen Levy in a suit countless times, what with having to wear one before every game, but he was still stunned speechless with howgoodLevy looked. His skin was glowing, smile wide and full of delight. It sent a bolt of warmth and relief and pain and longing through him.
“Olive!” Levy wrapped his arms around him, and Alonso collapsed. He clung back, burying his nose in Levy’s neck and taking a long gulp of his scent.
Fuck, he hadn’t been aware ofhowmuchhe’d missed Levy until that instant.
A voice from deeper in the hotel room interrupted the moment. “Emmett, who is that? Oh my gosh, Alonso.”
The next thing Alonso knew, he was being dragged into another pair of arms, the clean flowery scent of Levy’s mom filling his nose.
“Hey, Mrs. Levine,” Alonso mumbled, returning her hug.
“I’m going to be terribly angry if you don’t start calling me Cynthia.”
“Sorry. Cynthia.”
“My boy. It’s good to see you finally. Let’s take a look at you.” She held him at arm’s length, inspecting him closely. “As handsome as ever. Cody, come over here.”
Levy’s dad appeared from the bathroom, face splitting into a grin the exact shape of Levy’s. “Well! Someone looks dashing.” He walked over and dragged Alonso into another hug, slapping his shoulder heartily.
Alonso hadn’t been touched that much since he’d left Queens. It was overwhelming in the best way possible.
