“What Imeantwas like giving each other two scenarios and having to choose between them. Like…would you rather your breath smell like a bad fart, or have your laugh sound like a fart?”
“What the fuck?” Dominic laughed. “Did you just come up with that?”
“Answer the question!” Flor demanded, a fidgety length of warmth and smiles over Dominic.
“Jeez, okay…fart laugh. All I would have to do is never laugh,” Dominic decided.
“Noooo,” Flor complained. “I like it when you laugh,” he said, poking Dominic in the side until he caught his wrists.
“Really? You would rather me have fart breath?”
“I’d still kiss you,” Flor promised, leaning up and proving it softly with his lips. “Mmmm, farts,” he said, pulling away.
“You’re ridiculous.” Dominic smiled, pulling Flor down for another kiss.
Flor blinked at him slowly before sliding down again. “Your turn.”
Dominic rolled his eyes but hummed thoughtfully anyways. “Would you rather…live one life that lasted a thousand years, or live ten lives that last a hundred years each?”
“Hm. Would you live a thousand years too?”
“No, I’d stay a mere mortal.”
“Urgh, then no way. Ten lives. That way we can reincarnate together,” Flor said with finality.
Dominic snorted, wrapping his arms tighter around Flor despite knowing he was joking.
“Ok, my turn. Would you rather be a giant hamster, or a tiny rhino?”
Dominic laughed. “That’s so…how giant is the hamster?”
“Um…like, rhino-sized.”
“A tiny rhino, then. I can bang into people’s ankles.”
“No, you should choose the hamster one! That way I can sleep on you like a giant teddy.”
Dominic rolled his eyes. “Fine. Giant hamster it is.”
“Yay!”
Dominic rolled him over, pinning Flor underneath him, pressing their bodies together, feeling him shiver.
“What would you rather…” Dominic said lowly, mouth brushing against his ear. “Being blown until you cry, or being fucked until you can’t think anymore?”
Flor arched his body as if it were suddenly filled with phantom pleasure. “Oh, God.”
Turned out it was both.
By midday, they were sore, happy, and hungry, deciding unanimously to make lunch for some much-needed fuel. Flor crowded against Dominic, stealing cheese and pieces of fruit as he cooked. Instead of stopping him, Dominic retaliated by sneaking kisses from Flor until they were both smiling widely.
“I love seeing you like this,” Flor said, pressed to Dominic’s side, arms wrapped around him.
Dominic looked at him. How? Yours?he thought but didn’t say. He kissed Flor slowly instead, letting the freshly plated food go cold.
This is what it feels like when things are just good.
