Dominic came with his cock completely untouched, spurting on the bed, his body trembling. He felt Flor’s pace stutter a moment later as his ass squeezed around Flor’s cock and then Flor was coming too, buried in deep, face pressed against the back of Dominic’s neck.

They shook there for a moment, letting the tide recede just enough to let them breathe before they were collapsing on the bed. Flor groaned as he took care of the condom, and Dominic flopped over, his limbs feeling like jelly, so that he was facing Flor.

They tangled together, their faces close, breath kissing in the middle.

Dominic drifted off amidst the warmth.

**********

Dominic drove himself crazy trying to plan their second date. He discussed it in therapy, which he had long ago discovered wasn’t just for the most painful things in his life, but for the daily struggles that popped up.

In the end, Dominic took Flor on a day trip to a nearby amusement park. He didn’t tell Flor where they were heading and got to see the way his eyes lit up when they reached their destination.

“Oh my God!” Flor shouted, leaping out of the car, only to round the hood quickly and leap at Dominic, giving him a sloppy kiss. “I love this place.”

Dominic grinned. The fact didn’t surprise him, but he was still filled with relief.

It was the off-season, so despite the sunny day, there weren’t large crowds and lines to get through in the park. Flor ran around from ride to ride, pulling Dominic along. Every whim was Dominic’s command, even when Flor wanted to go on the same ride so many times Dominic got dizzy and had to sit down. Flor rubbed his back, admonishing him gently for not saying anything before, but Dominic shrugged.

It’d been worth it.

By the time they got back to Dominic’s apartment, they were both exhausted, Flor blinking blearily after having fallen asleep on the long ride back.

They crawled into bed together, the puzzle of them fitting its pieces perfectly against each other before drifting to sleep.

**********

It sliced at Dominic to see how obviously anxious Flor became as the date of his departure back to college approached. Flor tried to hide it, but Dominic could spot how his eyes would become uncertain sometimes, his words stuttering as if they were going to suggest something they’d thought better of.

Dominic thought of that moment with the music, of feeling grateful to be alive and there instead of anywhere, with anyone else, and knew he couldn’t let fear drive him anymore.

“So,” Dominic said, a sudden burst of sound as he sat beside Flor on the couch. Flor turned to look at him curiously as Dominic forced himself through the insecurity that flared. “This long-distance thing. Do you still. You know. Want to do that with me?”

There were a few seconds when Flor seemed not to process the words, staring at Dominic almost blankly. The next moment, however, a blinding smile took over his face and he scrambled into Dominic’s lap.

“Yeah?” Flor said, his voice straining with the smile.

“Yeah.”

Flor leaned down, kissing Dominic enthusiastically. Dominic squeezed Flor’s hips slightly as they came up for air.

“Is that a yes?”

“Yes, it’s a yes!”

Flor buried his face in Dominic’s neck, and Dominic wrapped his arms around him, pressing him in safe and tight.

As soon as his heart stopped thundering in the aftermath of adrenaline, he’d be able to catch his breath.

There was only one more thing left to do before Flor left.

“I want to tell Mom and Dad,” he said, making Dominic’s stomach drop to the ground. In the excitement and anxiety of actually solidifying their relationship, Dominic had completely forgotten about Cat and Esteban.

“I…” Dominic choked on any other words. Fear buzzed under his skin.

“Dominic,” Flor said, catching hold of his wrists gently. “Theyloveyou. This isn’t going to change anything. They’ll be happy, you’ll see.”
