“I thought he already got him?” Spencer asked.
“He did. But this time he got the gym. He sneaked into the gym right before closing and left like ten plants in Colby’s office. He took it in stride, though, and actually moved them to the front of the building and set them up at the big window. Took the wind out of Taylor’s sails.”
“Sounds like your family had an eventful weekend.”
“My weekend could’ve been a lot more eventful if a certain someone hadn’t barred me from coming over.”
“Well, the Jonah ban has been lifted. And seeing as how I picked you up, you’re sort of stuck here with me.”
Jonah wound his arms around Spencer’s neck. “Oh, no. Whatever will I do? What will the neighbors say when they find out you have a man trapped in your house?”
“They’ll say plenty if we don’t get inside. I’m sure they don’t want to see all the things I want to do to you.”
Jonah led the way this time. Linking his fingers with Spencer’s, he meandered to the back door and waited while Spencer unlocked it. They kicked their shoes off and Spencer watched Jonah make a beeline for the bedroom, pulling his shirt off over his head on the way.
“And to think, once upon a time you were a shy little virgin.” Spencer leaned in his bedroom doorway and admired the view of Jonah bent over, pulling his pants off his ankles.
Jonah stood and glanced at Spencer over his shoulder. “What a difference a little trust can make.”
“Is that what it was? I thought I was just irresistibly sexy.”
Spencer’s breath caught when Jonah turned around. One hand slid down his chest, his abdomen. Spencer watched as it slid lower, and he took his cock in hand and gave it a tug. He was already hard, and hiss pants were suddenly uncomfortably tight.
“Strip for me,” Jonah purred, not moving toward him. Spencer straightened and popped the button of his pants and tugged the zipper down. He watched Jonah watch him with hunger and lust. And when Jonah’s gaze flicked up to meet his, he saw the love there too.
He couldn’t help but smile at Jonah. His life was better with Jonah in it. Right from that first moment until now. He was worth the anxiety that crawled under his skin when he didn’t know if they were going to become a thing or not, and he was worth every ounce of love Spencer had in him. And then some.
“God, you’re so gorgeous,” Spencer said as he shoved his pants down and stepped out of them. He reached for the hem of his shirt and yanked it off over his head, and in a blink, Jonah was there, his hand cupping Spencer’s cheek, tugging his mouth down to meet his.
Jonah kissed him like he’d been away for years rather than a couple of days. “Don’t ever ask me to stay away again,” he ground out as if he’d read Spencer’s mind.
“Okay.”
“Promise me, Spencer.”
“I promise. My home is your home, and I’ll never ask you to stay away again. Happy?”
Jonah tilted his head as though he were still thinking about it.“I think you need to make it up to me.”
“The eternal flower garden isn’t good enough?”
Jonah started to shake his head but stopped. “Is that what you’re calling it?”
Spencer shrugged. “Well, they’ll live forever. Kind of like my love for you.”
Jonah groaned and stepped into Spencer’s waiting arms. “That was the cheesiest line I’ve ever heard.”
“That’s why I’m a shop teacher and not an English teacher, I guess.”
“You might not be smooth, but you’re sweet, and I’m really lucky that I found you.”
“I’d like to think that we found each other. I’ve never been as happy as I am with you.”
“Now you’re just getting sappy.” Jonah laughed and tugged them toward the bed. He fell back, pulling Spencer down with him.
“I had to make up for the cheesy line somehow. I don’t want that to be the thing you remember about tonight.” Spencer buried his face in the crook of Jonah’s neck and breathed deep.
Jonah rutted up against him, practically purring in his ear. “Trust me, love. That won’t be what I remember.”
