“Please,” he repeated.
“Shhh. I’ve got you,” Spencer soothed, ever the calm one. Ever the steady rock. Always collected and sturdy.
Jonah whined when Spencer’s fingers disappeared. He sucked in a deep breath when Spencer straddled him again.
“We’ll try it like this.” Spencer spread Jonah’s cheeks apart with one hand and lined his cock up with the other.
His nerves didn’t abate when Spencer’s cock nudged his hole. If anything, the noise in his head became deafening. Though he tried not to let it, his whole body tensed.
“Shh, it’s okay. I’ve got you.” The sound of Spencer’s voice soothed Jonah. Spencer’s free hand slid up and down Jonah’s back, and he edged forward. “If you need me to stop, I’ll stop.”
Jonah did need him to stop. Because once this was done, that was it. He wouldn’t be a virgin anymore, and Spencer wouldn’t have a reason to touch him after this. But Jonah couldn’t speak. Couldn’t ask him to stop when he wanted Spencer inside him, no matter the cost.
“Deep breath, that’s it.” Spencer kept talking, whispering encouragement in low tones that had Jonah’s pulse throbbing like a strobe light.
The stretch. Fuck. It burned. Stung in a bad way, and he hissed through clenched teeth.
“It’s okay. You’re doing wonderfully.” Spencer was inside him far enough that he could let go of his cock. He put both hands on Jonah, continuing the massage he’d started earlier. He entered Jonah so slowly that by the time he was fully seated inside Jonah’s tight channel, Jonah was nothing but a puddle of sweaty want.
“Kiss me, please.” Jonah had to work up the courage to ask, but Spencer stayed true to his word and he descended upon Jonah, kissing him deeply despite the awkward angle.
Spencer started to move and fireworks again exploded inside Jonah’s brain. His body melted under the heat of Spencer’s. Jonah moved his hands around on the mattress, searching. Upon finding Spencer’s hands, he twined their fingers together and buried his face into the bed again. Because he couldn’t let Spencer see how fucking gone he was already. How wrecked he was. How whole.
Spencer moved. Undulated. A slow, rocking rhythm that let Jonah get used to the feeling of having something inside him. Not something. Someone. Him. Jonah tightened his grip on Spencer’s hands, not caring whether it was too hard. He knew Spencer was tough and that Jonah couldn’t hurt him. He gripped tighter and moaned as Spencer’s glacial pace increased.
Stars lit up behind Jonah’s eyes. Spencer was everywhere. On him. In him. In that moment, Jonah knew that even if he’d had all the sex in the world, being with Spencer would be something new. Something better. Something deeper and far more different than anything he could experience with anyone else. He couldn’t put a finger on it. Or maybe he didn’t want to. Maybe Jonah wanted to remain oblivious.
He rocked back as Spencer rocked forward, taking him impossibly deeper. Jonah gasped and writhed, using his body to beg for more. Spencer untangled one of their hands. Quickly repositioning them allowed Spencer to reach around and take Jonah’s cock in his hand.
“Oh, fuck—” Jonah cried out as Spencer started working him, jacking him while fucking him. Jonah pushed himself up onto his elbows and pressed himself back into Spencer, needing him deeper. And deeper still.
“Jonah. Holy shit. You feel incredible.” Spencer rested his forehead against the back of Jonah’s neck. Breath puffed down his back, tickling his skin. Every movement was a caress. Every breath was love. Every inch he gave Jonah was another mile that he was changed.
It was probably overly romantic hogwash to think that sex changed a person, but Jonah swore he was different now. Different in a way that would always be because of Spencer. Jonah’s arms quaked and his breathing shuddered, catching and releasing as he barreled closer to the finish line.
“Jonah, ohmygod. Fuck. I—” Spencer’s pace broke from his carefully controlled rhythm to something wilder, something unrestrained. “I’m close, Jonah.”
“In me. In me,” Jonah begged, reaching back with one hand as if it would be enough to keep Spencer inside him. “Want it in me.”
Spencer’s next sound might have been a word. It might not have been. It didn’t matter because he was blanketing Jonah again, kissing him ferociously. Deeply. Fucking him with sharp thrusts that reached down to Jonah’s soul. Then, with a shout that reverberated through Jonah, Spencer was coming. Fucking him harder and deeper and only then did Jonah’s body get the memo that he could come too. It was like Spencer’s orgasm triggered his own. The knowledge that he’d been the one to cause Spencer to make those sounds. That it had been his body that had brought Spencer so much pleasure made Jonah infinitely light.
Spencer tried to pull out, to ease off of Jonah once they were done, but Jonah melted into the mattress, his body sore in remarkable new ways. “Stay there. Just for a minute.”
Spencer kissed the corner of Jonah’s mouth and did as he asked.“Anything you want.”
Jonah closed his eyes and pretended that were true in all the ways he wanted it to be. He’d worry about it later. For now, he was content to lie in the afterglow and dream of things he had no business wishing for.
CHAPTER 18
SPENCER
Spencer droppeddown into one of the deck chairs and took in the scene around him. He was miles more comfortable than the first time he’d attended one of Ethan Bennet’s backyard barbecues, he’d been woefully unprepared to deal with all three Bennett brothers, plus all their friends. He’d been a fish out of water, a loner in an ocean of extroverts. Time would prove to him that they weren’t necessarily all extroverts, but they were comfortable together and, before long, Spencer had become comfortable too.
Taylor and Ethan were by the grill, shoulder to shoulder, cooking enough food to feed an army.Colby and his best friend Nash were throwing a football back and forth in the yard while Damon cracked a soda open and went to say hello to Ethan and Taylor. Jonah had slipped inside to put his famous strawberry biscuit sheet cake away for later.
Even now that Spencer and Jonah had crossed all the lines friends weren’t supposed to cross, Spencer didn’t feel awkward like he’d expected to. Anxiety wasn’t something Spencer often struggled with, but before coming here today, he had to admit that his stomach churned uneasily. His chest was fluttery in a way he wasn’t used to.
By the time he entered the back yard, though, his uneasiness had faded away. Even though things between him and Jonah had changed, this was still familiar territory. It soothed him to be here, Spencer realized. These people had become important to him. They treated him like family.
