“Someone’s waiting for you in the living room,” he said, giving me a little push in that direction as I was still rather dazed.
“Gee, I wonder who,” I called over my shoulder.
But I hurried nonetheless, eager to see Cody. He was waiting by the piano, wearing one of those tight, long-sleeved, button-down T-shirts that looked so damn good on him. This one was heather blue, a lighter color than he usually wore, and it brought out the lighter highlights in his hair. When he saw me, he cocked his head, motioning me over, and I went very willingly.
“Morning,” I said, stopping just in front of him.
“Morning.”
He made a sign as he said it, and I didn’t know if it was subconscious or not.
“Aaron said I should come this way.”
“I’m glad you did.”
He put his hands on my waist, squeezing lightly. My hands rose to his shoulders, and then I shrieked as he picked me up. Turning, he sat me down on the grand piano itself, on the closed lid over the keys. There wasn’t a lot of room, but he immediately pressed his body against mine, holding me in place and pinning me with his pale blue eyes as he stared at me from just inches away.
I licked my lips and gulped, then closed my eyes as he moved in. God, he kissed well. They all did, but differently. This wasn’t the time to write a comparison essay, but it felt so damn good.
His mouth was slow on mine, his lips thorough, his tongue deliberate. And his hands… he hiked up my thigh, pushing it to the side so that he could press himself more firmly against me. I grabbed onto him to keep from falling back and let myself drift, just enjoying the feeling of his lips on mine, his hands on me, the way he was making my body sing.
And then finally, he stepped back, taking me with him. For a moment, I clung to him, and then when he put his hands on my waist and shifted me, I slid my legs down. When I opened my eyes, I was so overwhelmed by the three amazing kisses in a row that it took me a moment to realize we weren’t alone.
Aaron and Diego stood nearby, one on either side of the piano bench.
“Hi.” My lips felt a little swollen. “That was a surprise. A very nice one.”
“Good.” That was from Aaron. Though I was still in Cody’s arms, I reached for Aaron’s hand. Then Diego’s. It felt good to be touching all of them at once. To show them how I felt about all of them.
“We have something we wanted to talk to you about.” That was from Diego. “Come sit on the couch with us.”
That sounded like a good plan, but Cody didn’t give me the option of getting there on my own power. He hooked his arms under my thighs and carried me over, setting me down gently while they settled on the sofa and armchair next to me.
“I could’ve walked here on my own,” I told Cody as he let go of me. But then I grabbed his arm before he could slide over. Bringing my lips close to his ear, I whispered, “But I’m glad you didn’t let me.”
Diego was the one sitting in the armchair, his long legs spread out in front of him, crossed at the ankle. “We were thinking that since it’s our last night here together, we should do something special.”
That was something I’d been thinking about, too. As long as it wasn’t bowling. “Do you know any more hidden-gem restaurants around here?” I asked Aaron, who was sitting on my left.
He exchanged a glance with Diego. “Actually, we were thinking of staying in.”
“Okay…” Did they really need to call a meeting to tell me we were staying in?
Diego continued. “And we also wanted to discuss where you’ll be sleeping tonight, Mia.”
Oh. I hadn’t thought of that. In the last five nights, I’d slept on my own twice and next to each of them once. “I guess…” I couldn’t figure out how to finish that. With only one night left, if I stayed with one of them, it would be uneven. Unfair, like if I’d had two nights with Diego and only one with Aaron and Cody.
Shit. “I guess I should sleep alone tonight.” It was the last thing I wanted, but I didn’t see any other option.
But they did. “Or you could sleep with all of us,” Diego said softly.
I gaped at him. Did he mean like a time-share thing? Start in his bed, then go to Aaron’s, then Cody’s? I couldn’t quite decide how I felt about that.
He seemed to know I wasn’t getting it. “We could all share the same bed. If you wanted to.”
My breath hitched. “T-the same bed?”
“The one in the master suite is a California king. It’s big enough,” Aaron said. As if logistics were the only issue on my mind.
