“What?”

“You said you wanted sex in public places, didn’t you?”

Well, fuck. I did tell him that the other night in bed, explaining the conversation I had with Mila and Daliah. He said, “I’ll give you all your fantasies, Bella,” right before he fell asleep.

“Yes, I did,” I say, “but right now, I’m all sweaty.”

He shrugs. “So am I, and I don’t give a shit. I’m so damn hard right now. My little grenade was about to combust with jealousy, so I had to kiss the fuck out of her to calm her ass before she spanked me again.”

Oh, God. I want to die of embarrassment. I turn from him and walk toward one of the buildings in the alley, leaning up against the wall.

“I wasn’t jealous,” I shout.

He chuckles and walks toward me. My face heats up when he leans into me, the palm of his hand resting on the wall above me.

“Sure, you weren’t. Now give me what I want.”

Oh, my heart, my poor heart. His soft lips and strong hand trail down my neck. He slides my leggings down all the way to my ankles with the other hand, unhooking one of my legs.

“Wrap your legs around my waist.” He says it in a raspy, lust-induced voice.

I scan the area. It’s empty and quiet. “What if someone comes?”

“Then we’d better hurry.” Then he shoves his hard, wet length into me.

My eyes roll back with the sensation of his pounding cock. Our lips meet, sucking the air from my lungs. The rush that someone might come makes it so much of a thrill. He brings me to life with each hard, rough thrust. His hand grips my ass as he thrusts faster. Harder.

“I’m so fucked,” he murmurs as he spills his hot seed on me.

CHAPTER 16

LIAM

Sitting in the meeting room at the station, I glance through the files of my dad’s old case. I’ve never had the urge to look through it. I knew it would bring up a lot of dark memories. Memories I don’t want to relive.

Yes, my dad killed others in the line of duty. Only when it was necessary, when his and others’ lives were at risk. His record shows no evidence that he killed any of the Serpents by his own hand. What reason did Pablo have for targeting him, then? The only asshole who can give me that information is Pablo himself. Like the coward he is, he’s remained hidden for years and is now taking the cartel under him for his protection.

“Hey, lover boy.” John walks into the meeting room with an amused grin on his stupid face. “So that was the girl at the gym, huh? The one you kissed like a die-hard poet.”

“Fuck off.”

I flip him the bird as two more guys walk in, Jasper and Greg. Jasper, my partner in the task force, fans himself. I knew they were going to give me shit for kissing Sophie in front of everyone. I don’t give a shit. The way she looked all hot and bothered by the girls there made my dick twitch over and over.

“What the fuck do you guys want?” I snap, annoyed.

“Down, boy. She’s beautiful. What’s her name?” John asks.

“Sophie,” I grumble, getting up from my seat.

“I didn’t know you had a girlfriend,” Jasper chimes in.

“I don’t. She’s just a friend,” I say, clearly annoyed by my answer. I’m not sure why the fuck I’m annoyed. She’s not my girl, not entirely. Only for the time being, right?Fuck.

“Damn, is that how you kiss friends? Pass her over when you’re done being friendly. I’ll be sure to take her for a fucking wild ride on my d—”

Before Greg, the recruit, can finish, I shove him against the whiteboard and grip his pressed uniform. “Watch your fucking mouth, asshole. She’s not some fucking slut to be passed around. If I ever hear you talk about her again, I’ll kick your ass. I don’t give a shit if I get suspended. She’s worth more to me than letting some asshole like you talk down to her. What we have going on isn’t any of your damn business.”

John stands behind me, peeling me away from the greasy airhead. Letting him go, I reach for my keys on the table and walk out. I need air. Leaning into my patrol SUV, I dial Dominic.
