He whispers, “You deserve every bit, baby, and more. I’m relieved you think it’s perfect.”
When I spin to see the people behind us, I see Santiago, Mark, Sophie, Daliah, and Liam all clapping and yelling congratulations. Dante comes running, throwing himself on us. We’re still on the ground.
“You’re getting married,” he shouts excitedly.
We hug him. “Yup, little man, Mom said yes.”
This has been the most amazing day, overflowing with so many emotions, all happy tears, tears of love. We walk hand-in-hand, the three of us making our way back to Dominic’s truck. Handing Mark my car keys, I ask him to take my car back home. Staring at the man I love with my whole being, we’ve been through so much in the last couple of months and years.
Love isn’t always perfect, and it doesn’t always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles and facing the challenges that life throws at us. I found my soulmate, my true love, the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.

MILA
Two months later
Our new restaurant has kept us quite busy, plus planning our wedding. We decided on a small wedding. This weekend is the big day. I watch as men put up the neon sign for our new restaurant.Leo’s Diner. I felt it was fitting to keep my father’s name to honor his memory. He died a tragic death. I wish to keep my dad’s and my mother’s dreams alive.
Dominic stands behind me, wrapping his powerful arms around my waist as we watch the men switch on the lights of the sign. As I watch, tears begin to flow. Dominic’s thoughtfulness leaves me speechless and full of gratitude. It means so much to me. I tilt my head back to look at him.
“I love you so much, thank you for this.”
He wipes my tears. “Baby, don’t thank me. I’d move mountains for you, Angel.”
Right then, my little peanut kicks.
Dominic gasps with amusement. “Wow, it felt amazing, baby. My heart just wants to burst.”
I want to melt just looking at him in awe.
“Hey, little guy, a couple more months and we get to meet you.” We found out just the other day it’s a boy. Little baby Luca kicks again.
“Two boys, I think we will have to keep trying until we get the girl,” I tell Dominic.
He keeps rubbing my belly as he kisses me along my collarbone. He grins, one corner of his mouth showing his dimples. “Even after we have our girl, we should have about six kids.”
I turn to face him. I’m about to say he’s crazy. I can't say it now he’s hot as hell and wearing his hat backwards, which sends lightning strikes down my spine. My arousal is at an all-time high. I’m not sure he knows what he does to me when he wears his hat backwards, or maybe he does because he’s smirking like an idiot.
“Stop it,” I sneer at him, annoyed.
“Ahh, let’s get you home before you rip my clothes off.”
I swat him away as he reaches for me, but he lifts me up bridal style, carrying me to the car, kissing me deeply. “Let’s get home quick,” I murmur in between kisses.

“Que hermosa, how beautiful.” Nana sneaks up behind me.
Sophie styled my hair and makeup beautifully. My eyes roam my reflection in the mirror. My dress fits flawlessly with my round belly. I feel like a queen. I went with a mermaid chapel train, off-the-shoulder, tulle, sleeveless, white dress with lace all around. It shows a lot of cleavage, more than I wanted to show. Pregnancy has my breasts popping out.
“Thank you, Nana.”
“Whoa, you look so beautiful.” Uncle Roger snaps his camera, taking pictures from all angles.
“Your father and mother would be so proud of you. You’ve become a beautiful, strong woman. I’m so proud of you, Mila.” Nana strokes my cheek lovingly.
“Thank you, Nana, for being a mother to me, for showing me how to love, to be strong. You helped me become a better person, the best version of myself that I could be, a strong woman and a loving mother. I am who I am because of you. Thank you, Nana, for being my strength.”
