She Wipes our tears.

“Hey, you two, no more crying now. I need to fix your makeup.” Sophie scowls at us.

Nana, Daliah, Rosaline (Liam’s cousin), and Liam’s mother all load into the limo. Sophie, my bridesmaid, and I round out the group. A May beach wedding is our plan since it was where our love started to develop. Sophie did an amazing job decorating the gazebo with twinkling fairy lights and white roses.

“Are the guys ready?” I ask, nervously, chewing on my lip as I glance at Sophie’s beautiful blue eyes in her blue maid-of-honor strapless dress that makes her eyes stand out gorgeously. I’m excited to start a new chapter in our life.

“Well, I sure hope so, unless he ran for his life,” she teases.

I hiss, side-eyeing her.

“Kidding, kidding they’re here. Liam, Santiago, Mark, little man, and all the guests have arrived. I think this is it, Mila; you’ll be married in less than thirty minutes. God, you’re the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. I’m so proud to be your best friend, Mila. You’re the strongest woman I know. You’ve been through so much, and here you are with a huge smile, a man that would kill for you, and a beautiful family.

“I don’t know why this feels like a goodbye, even though we work together and will see each other daily. It’s a milestone in your life, a new chapter. I love you, Mila, I wish you the best. You deserve all the happiness in the world, my best friend, my sister.”

I swallow the big lump holding the unshed tears, wrapping her in a hug. “I love you. Thank you for always being my rock. You’ve seen me at my worst before you saw me at my best; you’re a true friend, a friend few people find, and thank God you rubbed my belly that day.”

We both chuckle, trying to keep the tears in.

Uncle Roger walks up to us. “It’s time.”

The music begins to play. Uncle Roger walks me down the aisle, holding a bouquet of white roses. My eyes roam to my handsome man in a tux—broad shoulder, chiseled jaw, whiskey brown eyes drowning me in deep. His mouth gapes open as his eyes trail up and down my body, dancing with lust, adoration, and love. He swipes a tear off when Uncle Roger hands me to him. He leans in to kiss my forehead.

“You’re so beautiful, the most gorgeous woman, Angel.” He chokes with emotion.

“You look insanely handsome,” I whisper in his ear.

My little man looks adorable in his little tuxedo. The priest begins the ceremony. Dominic and I get lost in each other as our eyes devour one another. It’s like we can telepath with one another. My body heats at the way he bites his bottom lip. As we say our vows, Dominic says,

“I do.”

Right when the priest pronounces us man and wife; you may kiss the bride, Dominic sweeps me into a deep kiss. I almost forgot we had an audience. Tears spill from my eyes, tears of joy and love.

“My beautiful wife,” he says between each kiss.

His hand traces each curve and when his hands meet my ass, he squeezes. He seems to do that a lot.

“Been wanting to do that since the minute my eyes landed on you baby.”

Our family and friends gather around us, enveloping us with hugs. My little man runs up to us.

“Are you married now?” he questions with a confused look in his brown honey eyes.

I try to get on his level, but I can't because my dress is too tight around my tummy and ass. It’s not happening. Dominic lifts him up, chuckling when his lips twitch into a grin.

“We are married, buddy. She’s my wife.”

Dante’s nose scrunches up. “Ok, can we go now? This is so itchy.” Not affected, more than likely doesn’t know what’s going on.

“Sure, when we get to the restaurant.” Dominic holds my hand as he holds Dante in his arms. We make our way to the limo that’s waiting for us.

“Let’s welcome the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Delgado,” the D.J. announces as we enter Delgado’s Steakhouse.

We managed to shut down and move all the tables and chairs to make a dance floor for the reception. The place is filled with elegant white linens and delicate glassware, and further adorned with a multitude of colorful floral arrangements. Every corner is decorated in fresh white roses, baby's breath, and ivy garlands intertwined with fairy lights, creating a whimsical paradise. Dominic hired a wedding decorator, and they outdid themselves.

Looping my arms around Dominic, we make our way to the dance floor for the bride and groom’s first dance. When the songs plays… my knees wobble. The song Dominic chose is perfect. I wrap my arms around his neck, his hand below my waist.Dressed up in Whiteby Cal plays.

He croons the lyrics for me, only for me to hear. I’m melting into a puddle of mush. Good thing I’m holding onto him, or my legs would go out.
