She nods yes. “Are you?”
“I’ll be okay, baby, in time. All I care about is that you and Dante are safe. You two are my world.” I kiss her on the temple as the judge walks in.
Halfway through the trial, Rachel sits in the witness seat and she confesses about Leo and Mikaela’s deaths. Nana sobs in Robert’s arms as he comforts his mom. Mila runs out of the courtroom as I follow behind.
“Baby, wait up,” I whisper softly.
I follow her into the lady’s restroom, where I find her throwing up—shutting the door to the stall, I rub her back.
“Baby, this is too much for you. We can leave.”
She wipes her mouth with her hand flushing the toilet. “I just felt nauseous. I’ll be good.” She opens the door.
I grab a paper towel, wetting it, and handing it to her. She wipes her mouth, then rinses her mouth at the sink. I hiss at the look of her.
“Angel, you’re pale. We’re going to wait outside. You need fresh air. Come on, I can’t stand another minute in there myself.” I drop some coins into the soda machine and get Mila a water and soda for myself. Then, holding her hand, I lead her outside.
Later, we all sit at our restaurant, as inours,I mean mine and Mila’s. I built this restaurant with her in mind. It’s always been ours, I just hadn’t realized it. After court, we all came here to regroup.
They sentenced Rachel to life in prison. I’m relieved because the malicious depth in her eyes, the way she fixates on Mila, revealed how much hatred Rachel carries. She would do anything to get rid of her, no remorse, no sorry, nada. Life in prison is what Rachel deserves.
My heart hurts for the mother I once loved. However, with how selfishly she thought of only herself, I no longer do. I’m more than relieved Rachel will be nowhere near Mila ever again.
“To closure and a new beginning,” my brother Santiago says as he lifts his drink, masking his emotions.
We all bury our emotions, the pain crippling us. We all raise our glass and drink.

Two weeks later
Opening the front door to our condo, I’m greeted by Dante running into my arms.
“Daddy, your home.” He envelopes his hands around my neck like a monkey.
Coming home to this is the best thing ever, no more coming home to an empty place. Mila’s in the kitchen cooking dinner. Her beautiful face glows brightly.
“Yup, I got out a little early. I needed to get home to my two favorite people in the world. How was school?” I place a kiss on Dante’s cheek.
“Daddy,” he groans, wiping the kiss-off.
Putting him down, I walk over to Mila.
“Good, Daddy, I won an award today.”
“Really! I’m proud of you.”
Dante smiles widely, showing his deep dimples as he walks into the living room. I lift Mila’s chin so I can kiss the shit out of her.
“I missed you,” I tell her before I press my lips on her hot, wet mouth. Then wrapping my arms around her, I place them right on her plump round ass. I squeeze roughly. “How was your day, Angel?”
She presses her mouth right back on mine. We kiss some more. “Great,” she finally answers after our long make-out session.
“I thought about you all day,” I murmur as she presses her lips on mine again, kissing me like she hasn’t seen me in years. I’m not complaining. I like it.
She looks at me with her sparkly green eyes like I’m a meal she’s dying for, starved for. I’m not sure if I should rejoice or be terrified. Her gorgeous eyes scan my body with a lick of her swollen red lips. By the look in her eyes, she might pounce on me like a predator catching its next meal, or she might rip my clothes savagely. My cock twitches. I clear my dry throat, which has suddenly become parched and dry, which desperately needs water. Reaching for the nearest water bottle on the table, I take a long sip.
After dinner, I help Mila rinse dishes placing them in the dishwasher. Every chance she gets, she smacks her gorgeous hot lips on mine. Horny and I mean Extremely Horny Mila is scary, but I am fucking love it. I’ve never seen Extremely Horny Mila. It’s making me Extremely Horny Dominic.
