The way this had been since the second they’d gotten involved.

His hands gripped her hips tighter. “Isla, I’m going to fucking come inside you if we don’t change positions.”

“I can’t,” she gasped, grinding harder, her thighs clenching against him. She was so close to coming again. “Just come inside me.”

“Are you sure?” he asked.

“Yes.” She returned her lips to his for another hot, frenzied kiss. His fingers dug into the bare skin around her waist, and he rocked her against him as a loud moan left her. Then she came with a cry, her body releasing as her core clenched around his shaft.

“Fuck,” he groaned, then she felt his cock pulse hard, his cum filling her.

After a few moments, they both stilled, panting against each other.

Her heart continued to pound, the sweet relief of the orgasm still flickering through her with gentle warmth. Maybe not how she’d intended their first time together to be—at all—but stillfucking incredible.

“Are we okay?” he asked in a deep voice against her. “I know we hadn’t discussed it, but I did test after my last relationship, and I’m clean. But I came?—”

She kissed him lightly. “Same. It’s fine. I’ve been on the pill for years.” She rested her head against him. “I hope it was okay. I didn’t mean to stress you out.”

“Isla, that was amazing. You’re amazing. We can have sex however you want to have sex—bare, with a condom, with or without foreplay. I may even let you tie me up if you’re a good girl. Anything. I’m happy to oblige.” He dragged his lips to her temple and kissed her.

She nipped his earlobe. “You mean you want to do it again?”

“I wouldn’t be a particularly good pool boy if I wasn’t willing, ready, and able. Your wish is my command, darling wife.”

She laughed, then climbed off his lap, reaching for tissues. “Pool boy or genie?”

“Both. I take it I earned my way back?” Aiden took the tissues from her, then gently wiped the mess he’d made. Her throat tightened at the gesture, and she sent her hands on his shoulders, her heart squeezing in her chest.

Aiden, who’d gone to blows with his brother over her.

Who would sacrifice his friendship with Callum for her.

Who’d kept his word, after all.

Who knew her well—had known me for years—and still wanted her.

He’d never know how much that meant to her.

She nodded, not wanting to get teary-eyed at his comment about earning his way back. “You did. And you have me...husband.” She kissed his forehead, closing her eyes.

Maybe neither of them knew what they were getting into, but maybe it didn’t matter.

But one thing she knew for certain—she was falling in love with Aiden Camden.

AIDEN

The shower wokeAiden from a deep sleep, and he rolled onto his back, blinking in the darkness of the bedroom. A faint flow of light around the edges of the black-out curtains told him it was morning but a glance at his watch confirmed it. Already six.

Call time was at seven for Isla—no wonder she was up.

But the fact that she’d been able to get out of bed without waking him surprised him.

He couldn’t remember the last time he’d slept so soundly that the slightest movement didn’t rouse him. Not since leaving the military, that was for certain.

Then again, they’d been up several times during the night.
