He swallows thickly, glossing his lips with my juices. His tongue darts out to lick them, causing my thighs toclench around his hips. “I don’t want to take advantage of you. We’ve both had a lot to drink?—”

“Don’t worry. You aren’t. I know what I’m doing, Lawson.” I shift my hips again, rocking against his hard length. “I want you. Don’t you want me?” I press his fingers down harder so they slip between his lips, and he can finally get a real taste.

A wave of heat pours from my center as he sucks them clean without breaking eye contact. When he finishes, he wraps my hair around his fist as his other hand cups my butt again. This time, his voice is rough and unrestrained. “Yes, Lucy. I fucking want you.”

Effortlessly, he pushes off the floor with me still wrapped around him and turns to sit on the couch, settling me on his lap. The white button-down falls from my shoulders as he kisses up my collarbone to my neck, sucking on a spot that drives me absolutely wild.

Even though we’re still wearing clothes, we might as well not be. The thin material of his dress pants does nothing to protect him from how soaked my underwear is. He pulls my head back to bare my neck to him as he thrusts upward, and I can feel him smiling against my skin as a string of curses falls from my lips.

Lawson comes alive beneath me, making me feel everything without ever removing our clothes. There’s definitely going to be a mark on my neck where he alternates between roughly drawing my flesh between his lips and murmuring incoherent words against me. His fingers dig hard enough into my ass to bruise as he pulls me against his cock with every thrust. This memory will be burned into my brain to remember on cold and lonely nights.

We aren’t even fucking, and this is one of the hottest experiences I’ve ever… well…experienced.

I know I don’t have much to compare it to, but all I can think of is, how the hell will any guy be able to top this? It’s like Lawson knows exactly what I need without me asking, and yet I can tell he’s holding a part of himself back.

A delicious tingling pressure builds deep in my core. It spreads outward as he picks up the pace. He’s close, too. Curses and peppered kisses caress my skin, joining the sounds I try to keep buried.

“Lawson,” I whimper against his ear, trying to convey that I’m about to come but trying to hold on because I want us to do it together.

A quiet hiss leaves his lips as my nails dig into his back. “Let go, baby. I’m right there with you,” he commands tenderly, raising his face to look at me.

My brows draw together, lips falling open as my release pulses through me. A cry begins to leave my throat, but Lawson swallows it, groaning into my mouth as he comes. That euphoric feeling of floating on a cloud overtakes me as our hips slow, and we settle into post-orgasm bliss.

We stare at each other, eyes wide, wondering if what just happenedactuallyhappened.

Did I just dry fuck my boyfriend’s—EX-boyfriend’s dad?

“Lucy—”

Preparing for him to tell me we just made a huge mistake, I quickly scramble off his lap. “Can you call me a Lyft?”

I can’t handle hearing him say that this should never have happened. I’m mortified. And still turned on, even as I use thebottom of his shirt to wipe between my thighs. I kinda feel like I’m going to be sick. But only because I drank too much. At the same time, I don’t feel drunk? Everything is just kind of hazy.

Regardless, I know for certain that I don’t regret what just happened one single bit.

“Lucy, I’m so sorry.” Lawson’s tone is guarded as he picks up his phone.

Hopefully, there are drivers close by since it’s graduation night.

“I’m not.” I look like a mess, but I have nothing else to wear, so I start buttoning up his shirt. “I don’t want you to be either.”

His gray eyes shine bright with concern as he watches my face for any signs of distress until a ding sounds from his phone, and he looks at the screen. “Your uh… your ride will be here in a few minutes. Are you sure you don’t want me to take you home?” He almost sounds hopeful that I’ll say yes, but it could just be my imagination.

Patting my hair in an attempt to tame it, I shake my head. “I’ll be okay.”

Lawson takes a few slow steps forward as if he’s trying not to spook me. “We should talk about this.”

“There’s nothing to talk about.” I catch him off guard as I wrap him in a hug, resting my cheek on his chest. It takes a few moments, but his arms finally settle around me, and I feel the slightest pressure on the top of my head as his lips press to my crown. “One night, that’s all this was, right? One night that we both needed.” Tipping my head back, I breathe in his minty scent that mixes with the whiskey on his breath as our gazes lock.

“I just want to make sure you’re okay,” he expresses quietly.

Unspoken words charge the air around us. I can’t imagine never seeing him again, but I know that after tonight—after this moment, right here, right now—there will be no reason for us to cross paths again.

“Lucy—”

A sharp ding sounds from his phone again, signaling that my ride has arrived. Lawson drops his hand and lets me go without another word, breathing out a sigh as he moves to crack open his office door. After looking both ways down the hall, he states, “Coast is clear.”

“Thank you.” I hurry past the threshold, not wanting Rhys to see me in my current state. But I’m only a few steps down the hall when I turn around.
