He let out a sigh. “I’m a little discouraged, that’s all.”

Adam held his arms wide, and Paul didn’t hesitate to snuggle up against him. “We knew finding you the right job wouldn’t be something that happened overnight,” Adam murmured. “But itwillturn up, I’m certain of that.” He pressed his lips to Paul’s hair. “Let me take your mind off it.”

Paul chuckled. “So that’s why we’re going to bed at eight o’clock? You want to distract me?”

“Actually, I’ve been thinking about something I’d like us to try.”

He craned his neck to look at Adam’s face. “Something from my list?”

Adam laughed. “Believe it or not, something from mine.”

That got Paul’s attention. He sat up. “Youhave a list?”

The bed shook with Adam’s laughter. “Do you think you’re the only one with needs? Granted, you tick most of my boxes, but?—”

“Most?” Paul straddled Adam’s hips, his fingers over Adam’s ribs. One light touch was all it took.

“Don’t.” Adam’s voice shook, although he was clearly trying to sound stern.

“Don’t what?” Paul feigned innocence.

“Youknowwhat.”

“Oh, you mean this?” Paul tickled his ribs, and Adam squirmed violently.

“You little shit.”

Paul gasped. “I’m the man you love.”

“Yeah, and you’re also a pain in the backside. Youknowhow ticklish I am.”

“Hey, you provoked me with thatmostcomment.”

“Well, I’m hoping to talk you into ticking a big box tonight.”

That stopped him dead. “Oh?”

Adam nodded. “I needed to do a little prep first.” He snorted. “Except it wasn’t so little. And we’ll also need supplies.”

Paul was bursting with curiosity. “What kind of supplies?”

“Look under my pillow.”

He reached under, and his fingers encountered a round tub. Paul pulled it free and?—

Oh. My. God.

“‘Fist Lube’?” He swallowed. “Well, there’s no ambiguity about that, is there?” Paul’s heart pounded. “Adam, I’m not sure I can?—”

Adam’s finger pressed against his lips a heartbeat later.

“Babe…I’llbe takingyourhand.”

Paul’s breath caught in his throat.

Oh.Oh.

Heat rushed up his neck, his pulse hammering in his ears. Anticipation tangled with disbelief, with nerves sharp enough to make his stomach flip.
