I went home to clean up my apartment and get it ready for the party. Esa and Bailey would come over tomorrow morning to help me set up, but I wanted the place to be sparkling clean before they got here. That way, we could be a little more relaxed and focused on decorating, which was the fun stuff. Plus, I had a feeling Bailey and Shasta would want to dress me up for the party, and who knew how long that would take.
After I finished all the cleaning I could stand, I took a nice, long shower, preparing for Dean's arrival home from work. Thinking about his stunt earlier in the day, I couldn't seem to shake the smile that was making my cheeks hurt. I couldn't believe he bribed fifteen lifeguards to hold a sign saying he loved me. I wanted to roll my eyes at the over-the-top gesture, but it honestly made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, so I guess it worked as intended.
I debated what to wear and ended up putting on my regular pajamas and calling it good. I didn't wear sexy lingerie, it just wasn't me. Dean was always saying how much he loved my strong, sexy body, so that's what I was gonna show him, not some overpriced lace. I was confident if tonight went right, I wouldn't be wearing clothes for very long anyway.
I was setting our sparse, yet nutrient dense dinner on the table when Dean came through the door. He was in a fresh set of shorts and a polo shirt. His hair was darker than normal, like he'd just stepped out of the shower.
He dropped his bag, slammed the door, and strode over to me on a mission. His hands settled on either side of my head and he swooped in for the kiss. Teeth nipped my bottom lip before his tongue dove in to consume me.
The boy could kiss.
I pulled away a bit, giggling. "You're like zero to sixty all the time, aren't you?" Then I tried to push him back, unsuccessfully. "Dinner's on the table...it's getting cold."
"I don't care." Dean's eyes were half closed, and he was focused on my mouth. "And I'm not zero to sixty all the time. You'll find that out tonight." Then he was smiling at me like he intended to eat me right there on the spot.
"Yeah, I guess you'll have to prove it." I wouldn't drop the sassy flirting since it seemed to be our signature foreplay. It's not like I didn't dislike his zero to sixty hellos, but I also wanted to see what else he had to offer. "I haven't waited this long for it to be over before I can actually take it all in."
"Oh sweetheart, you'll definitely take it all in, don't worry." He was back to grinning like a lecher. His hands wandered down south, getting a handful of my ass and pulling me into his body, letting me feel how much I'd get to take in. I hadn't meant for it to be taken sexually, but I mentally rolled my eyes at my naiveté.
My hands got sweaty but my heart skipped a beat in anticipation, and I couldn't stop my hips from responding with their own rub against his length. Holy shit, what was I in for?
Dean stepped back suddenly, almost making me tip forward without his body acting as my personal scratching post. He pulled out a chair for me and I sat down in a daze. I swear, this boy was giving me whiplash.
"You're right though, we should eat so we're properly fueled for tonight's activities. Wouldn't want you to have to interrupt my 'endurance' for a midnight snack." Dean used his hands as quote marks on the word endurance.
"Yes, baby," I answered sweetly, earning me a dark look in response. I guess the guy was touchy, or maybe all guys were touchy about threats to their sexual prowess. I'd have to watch my taunts. I was just teasing him and I knew all too well that teasing can be taken too far.
We ate in silence, though I felt his eyes all over me, trying to strip me bare right there at the table. The tension in the air made me squirm in my seat. It was like I had an itch and I couldn't quite scratch it.
I hadn't even finished my dinner before Dean shoved back his chair and stood up.
"That's good enough. Now you're all mine," he practically growled at me. I wasn't the only one feeling the tension.
He held out his hand for me and helped me stand, which was a very good thing because the way he was looking at me was making my legs wobble.
Leaning forward, his hands on my hips, he whispered tenderly in my ear, "I'll make this good for you, I promise. You want me to stop, just say the word. At any time, okay?"
I kissed his cheek and wrapped my arms around his neck, enjoying the feel of his body holding mine. I had no doubts that this was what I wanted. I may not have outright chosen to stay a virgin, but in this moment, for the first time, I was choosing to give myself to Dean.
"Okay, I trust you," I whispered back.
Dean picked me up, and I wrapped my legs around his waist. One hand stayed under me while the other hand cupped my face and brought me to his kiss. We nipped and kissed and smiled and got lost in each other while he walked us in the general direction of my room.
My shoulder clipped the doorway, and the jolt broke our kiss. "Ouch," I said with a soft laugh.
"I'm so sorry!" Dean looked horrified.
"Maybe I should let you focus on where you're going, huh?" I kissed down his neck, making sure my head was out of the way and he could see in front of him.
"Honestly? The only thing I see when I'm with you...is you."
My heart squeezed and my body responded by pressing closer to him, my legs tight around his waist.
Dean got us over to my bed, then let me slide down his body, until I was on my own two feet. His jaw was clenched tight, but his eyes looked warm as he lifted a hand to drag one strap of my camisole off my shoulder. His eyes followed his hand's movement. He bent his head to kiss the shoulder he'd just touched. The other shoulder got the same treatment.
Goose bumps trailed up and down my arms as he took his time touching and kissing my body. Then he pulled my camisole and my shorts down my body leaving me fully naked.
Dean stepped back and took his time, looking me up and down. I tried not to squirm or cover up my body, giving him time to look his fill. When he lifted his head and made eye contact, I realized what a good move that was. His eyes looked like they were burning hot, like he couldn't wait to get his hands on me and the only thing holding him back from attacking me were the principals ingrained in him about being a gentleman.
