Addison smiled and greeted everybody. “Nice to meet you all. That’s Raheem and my best friend, Akira.” She nodded towards the pair who were pulling up on a motorcycle.

“Let’s light these muthafucka’s up!” Akira said, waggling her tongue and pointing her gun in the air.

“I like her already.” Denice laughed.

A few seconds later, Bishop, my body guard pulled up on her bike next to Akira and Raheem and dipped her chin.

“I have a few people coming to surround the perimeter boss. Nobodies getting out of here without having to go through us.”

“Bishop, you didn’t have to –”

She gave me a pointed look. “Seojun, you have been nothing but good to the Reapers. What happened to you was unfortunate, but contract or not, we are here to support you.”

I walked over and gave her a firm handshake. Jay opened his mouth to say something but quickly changed his mind. The way he stared at Bishop was very familiar. It was the same look I gave Addison. I made a mental note to talk to him about it when all this was over.

I heard more motorcycles in the distance as we strapped up. I tried one last time to convince Denice, Addison, Ashlynn, and Akira to stay behind, too, but they refused. Hell, they all damn near cursed me out because they refused to leave their man’s side. I pretended to be frustrated, but deep down I was proud. These women were ready to ride for us and I know we would do the same for them.

Looking around the parking lot, I couldn’t help but smile. I was betrayed in the past and lost everything. I was devastated because everything my father had worked hard for was destroyed within a blink of an eye while I was in charge. Now as I stood before the people before me, I realized that they were all there for me. Not my dad or for what the Jaguars did for them, but all because of me. I looked down and sniffed as Addison rubbed my arm. Looking over at my wife, a planted a kiss on her cheek before turning to face everyone.

“Let’s end this shit!”

Chapter 37

Seojun

We causally headed inside the building strapped and ready for war. I turned to the right and saw ‘the playroom’ with flashing red rights. A woman who was obviously strung out on whatever drug she was on, sitting in the middle of the floor. I frowned.

“Jay, Raheem, Akira, can y’all help them people out of here.”

The trio nodded as they headed inside of the play room. Remembering what Z had told us a few days ago, I was pretty sure some of the individuals were here but not by free will.

Rounding the corner, we headed toward the elevators when I saw Manny talking to Cindy.

“Just the people I needed to see.” I said, cocking my gun back.

Cindy screamed before trying to run, but Bishop stood at the entrance of the building with a crowbar lazily hanging over her shoulder. She tried to go the opposite direction, but the Reapers had all of the exits surrounded.

“Take us to Luther’s suite so we can end this shit.” Addison said, glaring at the girls.

“Why would we do that?” Manny said, rolling his shoulders. “Mr. L is our boss now.”

I huffed out a chuckle. “What was the point of leaving the Jaguars, anyway? I paid you well and I know you didn’t want any of the women because you had a boyfriend. So, why did you turn your back?”

Manny shrugged. “He looked better than you.”

“The fuck?” Addison barked. “You betrayed the man who put food in your mouth because you thought another nigga was handsome?”

Manny rolled his eyes. “You got a problem with that, bitch?”

Before I could intervene, Addison had lifted her gun and shot him in the knee.

“Ahh! Fuck!” Manny cried out.

“First of all, watch your fucking mouth. Second of all, you sound dumb as hell. You betrayed your boss because you thought the villain looked good? I should make you eat my gun.”

“Yeobo, it’s okay. Let the Reapers handle him, we have bigger fish to fry.” I said, planting a kiss on Addison’s forehead. “Cindy, grab the key card that takes us to Luther’s floor.”

She stared at me and began to shake her head when Akira walked up and punched her. “Now, you two timing bitch.”
