What am I doing?
This is a bad idea.
What if I drain him? Kill him? His blood is too potent, addictive. I’ve only had a taste, and it was heavenly. If he really is my blood mate, that would explain why it tastes so good.
Up until now, I’ve managed not to rip his throat out and take it all.
Maybe he should be the one cuffing me to the bed. Keep my hands secured so I can’t hold onto him while I drink. But that would leave me vulnerable. I’ve heard stories of vampires who relented control only to be staked mid-sex or mid-bite.

“Do you trust me?”

He laughs nervously, despite the warning being true.
I take his hand and cuff it to the bedframe, then I climb onto the bed and straddle him to secure his other hand.
“I’m going to blindfold you now. Okay? I want you to rely on your other senses for this.”
Teddy swallows hard, his heart pounds against his chest.
“Don’t bescared,” I say, teasing him about his earlier confession.
“It freaks me out that you can hear my heart. Vampire hearing is really that good?”
I lean in and lick his lips.
“Yes, and I’m going to need you to calm down.”
Adrenaline filled blood tastes the best. Aroused blood even better.
He’s both.
Mix that with him possibly being my blood mate? Yeah, this is not a good idea.
