“I want to take you out to dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city. We could go see an outdoor movie at Bryant Park and cuddle up on a blanket. Or what about a picnic in Central Park?”

“Yes. I want it all.”

“Or maybe we can go sing karaoke. I know a great place in Midtown East.”

“I knew it. You’re a good singer, aren’t you?”

Savannah sits with her back leaned up against the island. I step between her legs, and she grabs my sides.

“I’m an okay singer.”

“Only good singers say that!” she huffs. “I’m horrible so I willnotbe singing karaoke. But I’d love to hear you.”

I smooth a piece of hair out of her eyes. “So, is that a yes? You’ll go on a date with me?”

“It’s a yes… but do we have to alert the paparazzi? Can’t we just go out and see what happens?”

“We can, but they might go feral over an unannounced public appearance, especially since it will be my first outing with a woman in five years. If I have my PR team leak our location, we can set boundaries.”

“I do like boundaries,” she says, and sighs. I wrap my arms around her when she rests her head on my shoulder. I’ve never been more certain that she belongs there. When she looks back up at me, her brows furrow in thought as she runs her bottom lip between her teeth. I want to kiss her to stop the bad habit.

As if reading my thoughts, she grabs my nape and kisses me. A quick kiss that has me yearning for more.

Theweekdraggedon.I spent a lot of downtime on set in my trailer, practicing songs on my guitar. I saw the way Savannah’s eyes lit up that first day when she walked into my office and saw my guitar. Then she mentioned how she wants to hear me sing at karaoke. Better yet… I’llplayand sing to her.

We also texted a lot. She’d share her day with Adeline after picking her up from preschool, but it was the texts when she was alone in the penthouse that made work sufferable.

We exchanged dirty texts until I couldn’t take it anymore and I called her tohearher words. We Face Timed so I couldseeher fall apart while demanding she touch herself for me.

Now it’s Saturday. Date night. Addy is staying at Eloise and Kelly’s new place. My friends have been saviors. They’re all too eager to watch Adeline. Something I never thought I’d be okay with. Five years raising her, and now I’m sending her off without a second thought. A part of me wants to feel guilty, but as Mylan reassured me, I need to look after myself. Adeline doesn’t need me like she used to. Now I can focus on other parts of my life. And right now, that’s dating Savannah.

I have her all to myself tonight.

I’ve never been more nervous. All the red carpets and awards shows I’ve been to, and the famous names I’ve worked alongside, have never conjured such wavering confidence.

What if she hates the date? The places we go, the food we eat at the restaurant I choose. What if the paparazzi terrify her and she packs up her belongings and leaves me?

Leaves us.

The door to Savannah’s room creaks open. My heart beats faster with every soft step down the hallway. She rounds the corner to the kitchen, and I suck in a breath.

She’s styled her blonde hair up in a tight bun. Her makeup is light and natural. She’s wearing silver flats since she’s not a fan of heels. The outfit she chose is a classic little black dress that clings to her body like static electricity that pushes her breasts into round globes and puts every single curve on display.

How lucky am I that this woman allows me to touch her, kiss her, worship her?

“If you keep looking at me like that, we’ll never make it out of the penthouse.”

She stops in front of me, and I inhale her cherry and crème scent. I scoop her into my arms, planting the hungriest of kisses upon her lips. I force her mouth open so I can taste her. She moans as I stroke and suck and caress.

My hands roam across her backside, squeezing with fervor as they find her plump ass. She slides her palms up my chest and around to grip my nape. Her fingers latch on to my hair and she tugs me towards her as if we could get any closer.

I want to make out with her all night, but her kisses slow down, and she gently pushes me away.

“Save some for later, BG!”

I slap her ass, and she yelps before falling into a fit of giggles.

The buzz of my phone on the counter lets me know Xavier has arrived with the car.
