“Probably hot and bothered,” Kelly mumbles under their breath, which garners a united snort from Eloise and Lana.
“Bothered? About what?” Mylan asks, pinging his attention from his wife to Eloise and Kelly.
Of course, them pointing out that I’m flustered has me getting evenmoreflustered. And paranoid. Certainly, they can’t know I have a sex toy in my ass. Yeah, Reynold put it back in before they arrived. He’s trying to get me used to it. It’s been in there three times now. I’d forgotten about it earlier when I helped Addy pack. It took us about an hour because she wanted me to help with a puzzle, then she had me listen to her play her violin. It sounded like a wailing cat, but I smiled and clapped when she finished. After the violin, she showed me a game on her iPad. There were other things that kept her distracted from actually packing. It wasn’t until we’d sat down for lunch, and I let out a sexual ‘oh,’ that I remembered the butt plug in my ass.
Addy giggled, and Reynold’s eyes widened.
He’d been thinking about that ‘oh’ all throughout lunch. Once we finished eating, he snuck us away while Addy watched a movie, then ate me out in my bedroom... with the butt plug still inside me.
“You’re right,” I begin, ready to put an end to their teasing. “I am bothered because you’re all still here. I know you know that Reynold and I are about to...” I pause and glance into the living room. Addy is on the couch, engrossed in the show she’s watching. I’m not entirely sure she’s not listening to every word we’re saying in here.
“Shag?” Kelly says in a poorly done British accent.
“Have a bonk,” Eloise chimes in with an equally bad British accent.
Lana doesn’t even attempt an accent. “Bang it out.”
“Get your oats,” Mylan adds in a near flawless accent.
“I hate you all,” I say, not able to hold back a smile.
“Every one of your accents was rubbish,” Reynold says.
“Hey! I didn’t even do one,” Lana grumbles at the same time Mylan says, “Mine was perfect.”
“You lot.” Rey points to the hallway leading out of the apartment. “Out. Now.”
Everyone acts offended and horrified at Reynold’s insistence despite the humor on his face. I can’t help giggling at this entire situation.
Addy turns off the television and runs into the kitchen. “Is it time to go see the lions now?”
Lana brushes an orange red curl out of her face. “It sure is, honey. Are you excited?”
Adeline jumps up and down. “Yes! I wish Dad and Savvy were coming, though.”
“Oh, you’ll be coming,” Mylan whispers to Reynold, who is standing next to him.
“Inappropriate,” Lana says and punches him in the shoulder.
“Ow, Donut. She doesn’t even know what that means.”
I smile at Mylan’s nickname for Lana. They’ve talked about it in interviews before saying Lana loves donuts, and he loves her, therefore she’s his donut. I know it’s because Lana told Mylan that donuts are better than sex and Mylan said ‘wanna bet?’
The five of them finally leave the apartment and I turn to Reynold. “You sure you’re okay with them taking Addy again for the night? This is different from them taking her when we were sick.”
When Lana watched over Addy, they went to the chocolate stores in Times Square as promised. They explored Central Park with Banana and other public places. The paparazzi found them and snapped photos, but no one seemed to recognize her as Rey Michaelson’s daughter. Probably because Lana put a blonde wig on her, which Adeline kept and now wears around the penthouse all the time.
Still, tonight’s different. They won’t be in disguise. People will ask about the little girl spotted with Mylan and Lana. They’ve talked about adopting in interviews before. Will the public assume she’s theirs? Or will they recognize her as Rey’s and wonder why he’s not with them?
While Reynold has been protective of Adeline and wants to keep her out of the spotlight, he said he trusts Lana and Mylan. He’s also talked to Addy about the paparazzi, and she said she’s not scared of them. She didn’t care if they took her picture.
The older she gets, the harder it will be to shield her from the public. He knows he can’t keep her hidden forever. He can’t stop her from enjoying life. The paparazzi will take pictures and articles will be written.
Like when the media got shots of me out with Lana at the Statue of Liberty. Then shots of me and Lana with Adeline at the Brooklyn Bridge. I was the mystery woman who Rey’s team later confirmed was his daughter’s new nanny.
“Five years, Savannah.”
“Five.... years?” He’s said this before. I know it’s been five years since he’s been with anyone, but I’m playing dumb to get a reaction out of him.
