“That sounds like a perfect plan,” I gasp as his finger brushes across my swollen clit. I embody some confidence that I didn’t know that I had in me, issuing, “So stop talking and get started.”
“Oh, getting bossy are we?” Flyboy chuckles, still using the maddening, slow rhythm on my clit.
“Bossy? No. Just a woman who knows what they need,” I tell him, shifting to try and increase the pressure of his touch.
Flyboy pulls back from me, cupping my cheek with his free hand. “There’s the fierce woman that I know lives inside of you.”
I open my mouth to give him a sassy retort when he silences me by burying two fingers inside me. I gasp out, loving the feeling of being stretched by his ministrations. His smile spreads wider as he rubs his thumb over my clit, sliding his fingers in and out of my channel. I lean back on the glass behind me, gasping at the sudden coldness grazing against my heated skin. Flyboy uses this new angle to bring my boob up so that he can suck my nipple into his mouth. The sensation from my pussy, and the feel of him sucking and nipping my nipple, causes my body to shudder with need.
“I’m so fucking close,” I groan, fisting Flyboy’s hair.
“Come for me, baby,” Flyboy says around a mouthful of my nipple.
My orgasm washes over me like a tidal wave trying to pull me under. I brace myself on the glass, my knees weak. I let out a shuddering breath, closing my eyes, and laying my head back. Flyboy kisses up my chest along my neck, over my cheek to my mouth. The kiss is sweet and gentle.
Flyboy pulls away from my mouth, confessing, “I’m not letting you go, Riley. You’re mine! I’ve wanted you in my armslike this for so long, that I almost convinced myself that you were a figment of my imagination. Now, I have you with me, and I will not let you go… ever!”
I’ve wanted to hear these words from him for what feels like eternity—I’m almost too afraid to believe them. The tears run down my face and I do nothing to stop them. I let them fall as the walls around my heart and soul crumble, leaving me vulnerable to this man.
“Don’t say things in the heat of the moment that you don’t mean,” I tell him, still unable to believe that someone wants me for me, and not just for their own pleasure.
“I have never, and will never, say something that I don’t mean.” Flyboy lifts my chin so there is no way to doubt the words that are about to come out of his mouth. “Riley, you’re everything that is good in the world. You help everyone, no questions asked. You put yourself behind others. Hell, there are days you put yourself last, behind everyone else. You take care of everyone and make sure that those you surround yourself with are happy and well. Your kindness and happiness shines through you, lighting up everyone else's life.” Flyboy kisses me hard. “My very own Nightingale.”
I can’t get words out around the sobs wracking my body. All I’m capable of doing is reaching up, and pulling him close to me, holding onto him tightly, hoping that it’ll help hold my fractured pieces together. We stand there, looking into each other’s eyes until all of a sudden, Flyboy gasps and jumps, nearly taking us both to the ground.
“Holy shit, that water turned fucking cold fast!” he shouts, trying to dance out of the way while not taking me down or falling on his injured leg.
I move, hiding behind his body while laughing.
“You think this is funny? You tell me if you think it’s cold.” His tone is the only warning I get before he moves, spinning so the ice cold water is flowing down on me.
Squealing, I work to try and move out of the spray while making sure that I don’t injure the demon in front of me. Realizing that I won't be able to get past him without hurting him, I turn quickly, shutting off the offensive, ice-cold spray raining down on me. Slowly I turn, looking at the rude jackass, glaring before putting on my sweetest smile.
“Just remember, payback's a downright bitch.” I wink before stepping out of the shower, doing my best to hide the smirk splitting my face.
“What exactly does that mean?” Flyboy calls after me.
“Only time will tell, my dear.” I move out of the bathroom and into his room, only now remembering that I’ve got no clothes.
The reminder of everything that happened, in such a short time, washes away all the happy feelings that were just pulsing through me. I stand there staring at nothing, letting my mind go blank. Everything I have has been destroyed, and everyone here is in danger because of my past. Hands running up my back cause me to jump and scream in fright.
“Woah. Hey, what happened? What changed?”
I drop my face into my hands, conveying, “I don’t have anything to wear. Those assholes destroyed everything. What am I going to do?”
“We’re going to get you something to wear. After that, we’ll figure things out as we go. For now, you’re here safe and around people that love and care for you. The rest, we’ll figure out one day at a time,” he reassures me.
I take a calming breath, saying, “That sounds like the perfect plan. Clothes, there is no one here that has clothes that will fit me. Maybe Avery can bring me the spare set I keep in my officesince she’s coming by today anyway. Then maybe, I can send her some money so she can go shopping for me since we’re on lockdown.”
“There’s my girl. I’m going to get ready and then get us some breakfast while you call Avery. Once you’ve been fed, we’ll tackle the next problem.” Flyboy kisses me hard before pulling back and getting dressed.
I go to the bedside table, looking for my phone. Only now remembering that Torch never returned it to me.
“Umm, I can’t call Avery. Torch took my phone last night and never gave it back.”
“Oh, shit. Yeah, well, we’re going to have to get you a new one. That one got a little damaged. You can use mine to call her.” Flyboy’s chagrin look tells me there is more to that story.
“You will explain to me what happened.” I point at him before taking the phone out of his outstretched hand.
