I know my eyes go wide when she uses my real name. When we got our road names, we swore that we would only use our given names when it’s beyond serious. Logan hated being called Vice, but didn’t want to use her complete real name when we got away from Fire and Ice. Which is why she decided on Lo. I haven’t been called by my real name since I was sixteen. Hell, I don’t even know who that girl is any longer. Fire killed her long ago.

“What about me and the baby? We need you to be here. I can’t do it on my own,” I say, sitting by her on the bed.

“Vix, you aren’t alone. You have Torch, Blue, Prez, and all the men. They are more than happy to help you with the baby,” Edge says. “Plus, I’m only going into town, not across the country. I need to stand on my own feet.”

I huff, throwing myself back on the bed. “Town is too damn far.”

“It’s not that far. I’ll be here when you need me. Even better, you can take a break and come see me at my place,” she says, laying back beside me. I grab her hand, threading our fingers together and squeezing.

We just lay there, not saying anything. Finally, the door flies open, and Torch steps in, looking happier and lighter than I’ve ever seen him. Happy looks good on him, and my man is fucking hot. I can only imagine what my face looks like.

“Damn, I’ve won a fucking prize. Two smoking hot women in my bed?” Torch teases as he walks over to us.

“Damn right we’re hot, and the things we can do, you can’t even dream of,” Edge says before blowing a kiss at him.

Torch and I stare at each other in shock before we all start laughing. We laugh so hard that I get stitches in my side. Fuck, I’m going to miss this.

“We’re going to miss you around here, Edge. Promise you're going to come see us sometimes,” Torch says, pulling Edge to her feet and hugging her tight. Torch winks at me before whispering something in her ear.

“Alright, you two, let’s go greet our boy,” I say, smacking Edge on the ass as I walk by them.

“Ow! You hoe, that fucking hurt,” Edge says, chasing after me to return the smack on the ass. She’s following me so close that when I come to an abrupt stop at the mouth of the hallway, she runs right into me.

“What the hell, Vix?” she asks.

“Vixen, Vice, it’s nice to see you again,” Moose says, looking larger than life and nothing like the man from the motorcycle club.

“What the fuck is he doing here?” I ask, not even caring who is listening.

“He’s here for a meeting with the club,” Prez says, coming out of the kitchen. “Smith, take our friend here to the conference room. Wesson, gather the officers, and let’s get this shit done before our boy gets home.”

Smith leads Moose away, and that’s when I hear a gasp behind me. Looking back, I see Razor standing just inside the clubhouse door with his arm wrapped around a bleach blonde holding a baby.

“Who the fuck is this bitch?” I ask quietly.

“That’s the reason we’ve been having problems because he is a player, liar, and a cheat,” Edge replies, just as quietly.

What the fuck is he thinking? I’ll beat the shit out of him for this. I go to take a step toward him to do just that when Smith’s words stop both Edge and me in our tracks.

“Our friend said that he wants you both in the meeting.”

“Us? Why us?”

There is no way in hell I’m going to let Vixen in the room with some asshat I don’t trust. He may have helped us get her out, but something about him rubs me the wrong way. He has his own agenda, and until I know what that is, I want him as far away from my family as I can.

“Fuck no, she’s not going in with that jackass,” I say behind Vixen and Edge.

“If I want to know what Moose has to say, I’ll hear what he fucking has to say,” Vixen retorts glaring back at me.

“Vixen, baby, we don’t know him.” I cup her cheek.

“Torch, do you trust me?” Vixen asks.

“With my life,” I say, knowing that I mean it. I trust her with everything I have.
