Does that mean that Torch has someone else who’s been talking to Fire’s club other than Ox? Fuck, I need to get out of here to warn them. How the fuck can this keep happening to these men? I spy the stairs and what looks to be a door at the end of the long space. Could I make it?

“Don’t even fucking think about it! I’d have to take you down, and neither one of us want that,” Moose says so close to my ear it scares me bad enough, I scream.

Moose’s hand clamps over my mouth. “Fuck, Vixy. Are you trying to get us all caught? Get back into the room and be good. Your man will be here soon.”

I ask the question that burns me from the inside out. “Did you find her?”

I see the sadness and regret in his eyes, and it breaks my heart. This man has spent the last five years looking for his sister, who was taken and sold into the sex trade. When we talked, he thought he had found her, and then I watched Ice murder him.

I wake up to the sound of screaming and shouting. This isn’t new around here, but something about this is different. I pull on one of Fire’s shirts to go and see what is going on. I find a line of women who look scared out of their minds and barely dressed. Some of them look barely legal.

What the hell is going on?

“No, Fire, we can’t fucking do this. This isn’t what we do,” Moose says angrily. He has only been with the club for a year. In that year, he’s become one of my very best friends.

“Moose, stand back and shut the fuck up. We are doing this. We need more money, and the club just isn’t bringing it in,” Fire says.

“In skin? There’s no way in hell that we are going to do this. No, fuck that,” Moose replies, getting even more pissed.

“Are you disrespecting me? I won’t fucking tolerate that shit. You do what you’re fucking told, do I make myself clear?” I watch in shock as he pulls his gun and points it in Moose’s face. “Now, do what you are told and get to know one of our new friends before the buyers get here. Or be ready to eat this bullet,” Fire says so calmly that shivers run up my back.

“Fuck you, Fire. Fucking shoot, me then because I’m not fucking doing that shit. Not today, not tomorrow. Not fucking ever!” Moose bellows, taking off his cut and throwing it on the floor.

I put my hand over my mouth to stifle my gasp. They would beat me for listening when I wasn’t supposed to. Moose looks toward me, and I plead with my eyes for him to take it back. Fire and Ice will kill him for this. This is the ultimate disrespect and is grounds for being put to death. He gives me a sad smile and continues to walk toward the door.

“That was a big mistake, Moosey boy,” Fires says, giving Ice a nod, who fires a shot that makes all the girls in the room scream and huddle together.

I just stand there and watch as Moose hits the ground, unmoving. Why does this keep happening to me? Why do I keep losing the people I care for? I turn and run down the hall back to my room and barely make it to the toilet before throwing up everything I’ve eaten today. The loss I feel in my chest makes me sob.

That was the day I vowed to get from under Fire and their club. I knew that I’d never be able to forgive them for that. The touch on my arm makes the memory fade away. I look over my shoulder at Moose, trying to figure out if I can trust him or not. At the end of the day, I know that I have no choice but to trust that he’ll get us out of here.

With a nod, I turn to go back into that fucking room. Once inside, Moose loosely ties my hands to make sure if anyone else come in, it all looks legit.

Torch better hurry the fuck up. I’m not a very patient woman.

Ican’t sit still. Why isn’t the phone pinging working? Can they really know that much?I didn’t know about the tracker, so how would Fire and his shitheads know?I stop pacing to look around at all the people watching Razor and Lo work. No, this can’t be right.

“Prez, you got a second?” I also catch Smith and Wesson’s attention before nodding toward the hallway.

“What’s going on?” Prez asks as soon as we are at the mouth of the hallway.

“How did they know to put her in a Faraday cage?”

“What do you mean? The pissant told us that he overheard the guys talking about it,” Smith says, looking at me like I’m crazy.

“Yes, but Ox was dealt with before we were taken. Razor and Lo didn’t get those trackers until right before we got back, and yes, he overheard what was said. That isn’t enough for them to know exactly what to do. There’s still just way too much I don’t understand how they knew what they did.”

“Let's move Razor and Lo into Razor’s office and keep everything else quiet,” Prez says. “And boys, this stays between us until then.”

We all give him a nod and go back into the main room to get everyone moved. We don’t need them to find a location and let that asshole Fire know and lose track of them before getting her back. Smith and Wesson help get their stuffed picked up and moved back into Razor’s office. Once Prez, Razor, Lo, the twins, and myself are in the office, I close the door, then drop my head forward, breathing deep.

“Mind telling me why we were just moved into Razor’s love den?” I can’t stop the small chuckle that leaves me when Lo speaks; that woman has come a long way in the few short weeks they have been here.

“Long story short, we need to keep any information you get between us. We need to be one-hundred percent sure that it won't get back to the wrong people,” Wesson says.
