“Dang,Lo, you starving your girl?” Duck asks while shoving a fork full of eggs in his mouth.
Lo just shakes her head not saying anything. She looks at her feet trying to hide the fear.
“Hey, Blue wouldn’t let me get another plate until you guys got something. So, hurry your skinny asses up and get some before I fucking starve to death,” Duck says dramatically, falling back into his chair.
“Watch yourself, boy. I may be an old man, but I’ll still kick your ass for talking about my woman like that,” Steel growls from his place two tables over. Everyone laughs as Lo relaxes her shoulders.
“Eat, Vix. You need your strength.” Torch smacks my ass and kisses the top of my head when he walks by. He effectively just let everyone in this room know I’m hands-off. Fucker.
I grab a plate and pile it with eggs, bacon, grits, and the most mouthwatering French toast. I take a seat by Blue and start shoveling food in my mouth like I haven’t eaten in days. Once I’m over halfway through with my plate, I realize everyone at the table is watching me eat.
“Yes?” I ask, not pausing, but Blue saves me by asking what our plan for the day is.
“I don’t have a plan. Lo and I need to get a few things. We didn’t grab much when we left,” I reply, looking over at Lo.
“You can’t leave. Anything you need, write down, and one of the guys will go get it for you,” Torch advises while eyeing me.
“Excuse me? I didn’t leave one hell for another. I’ll go when and where I want to,” I say, glaring at him.
“Oh, and what if Fire and his men are here waiting on you to leave to just take you right back, hmm?” Torch continues with no emotion on his face.
“As a matter of fucking fact...” Steel’s next words cut me off.
“Vixen, before you kick my poor naive son’s ass, please let me explain. We don’t know the seriousness of the threat, and there are also a couple of other things we need to talk about before you guys make any decisions. Please allow us another couple of days before you wander outside of the grounds.” Steel takes a drink of his coffee.
“That would be perfectly fine. Thank you, Steel,” I say sweetly before shoving another forkful of eggs into my mouth.
“Excellent. Finish your breakfast and then come to my office,” Steel commands before getting up and calling for church for only officers. I watch as they rush to finish their food and coffee before heading out of the kitchen, leaving plates and stuff everywhere.
“Blue, why don’t we help you clean this mess up and let you know what we need from the store while the guys are in church?” Lo asks, and I nod as I finish the last of my food.
“That would be amazing. Thank you, ladies. Usually, the girls around the club take care of it, but I think the boys wore them out last night after being gone for so long,” Blue says, giving us a huge smile.

That woman is making me crazy. I thought it would get better once we made it back to the club, and I’d shake her. No such luck. Seeing her here with all the people I care about has only made the pull toward her even greater. I shake my head, trying to clear it of her as I walk into church. But when I see Dad’s smug grin, I know he knows.
“The woman has you by the balls,” he says, trying not to laugh.
“I don’t know what the fuck you are talking about. I’m just looking out for her. You should’ve seen the way they were treating them in that hell hole. What’s really getting me is I know there is something else she is hiding. She keeps telling me it’s nerves and anxiety, but I’m starting to think it’s a hell of a lot more than that.
“The sooner you see that she has you, the better off you’ll both be.” I start to say something, but he holds his hand up to silence me. “Let me just say. I put your momma through more shit than necessary because I was being an asshole and didn’t want to admit that she owned me. Once we get all this figured out, work it out. If saving her is all this is, then when we know they are safe, let her go,” he finishes as Smith and Wesson walk through the door, looking stressed.
“Did you boys talk to your mom?” I ask them as they take their seats.
“We did. She pulled these out of a box in the back,” Smith says, handing me a couple of pictures of Bucky and Ross in uniform with their daughters. Damn, it’s crazy how much they look like Dozer.
“Do we really fucking believe them?” Wesson asks. Before I can answer him, the rest of the guys walk in, and Prez calls church to order.
“You guys were all in my office last night when Lo and Vixen told you their story about those fuckers and watched the videos. We are here to vote on whether or not we go after the traitor and when we burn the Snakes’ clubhouse to the ground.” Prez is all business.
“Before we vote, I do need to show you this,” Smith says, passing the picture around. “I believe them, but I think a DNA test would be best to confirm that they are indeed our cousins before we go to them with this revelation.”
“Let’s vote then,” Prez states. Everyone votes yes. So, we plan to get the girls’ DNA and send it with Flyboy to the hospital to have it tested.
“Alright, Razor, are you ready?” Prez asks. I look at him and raise an eyebrow.
