He puts an index finger to my lips. “Oh, you are a bad girl.” He squeezes me close, and I feel a warmth spread through me.

“You like it when I’m bad,” I whisper. I give him a quick kiss and feel the roughness of his beard. “You like it especially when I’m really, really bad.”

He leans down a bit and I can feel the hardness in his jeans brush against me. “Yes, I do, sweet girl. Yes, I do.”

“Mama and Daddy are kissin’ again, k-i-s-s-i-n-g,” our six-year-old Tristan sings.

“Gross,” Lacey says in an aggrieved tone.

I sigh and pull away from Hawk. “You guys will like kissing one day too.”

That statement is met with a couple of groans and denials.

“It better not be for a long while.” Hawk’s growly voice makes me tingle again.

“Calm down, Daddy,” I say in a mocking voice. “I’m sure they’ll wait at least a few years.”

“Better be at least thirty.”

I smile and turn to watch my hubby as he deftly maneuvers our three-year-old away from the cupcakes and lets our dog out into the backyard. I sit at the counter watching him just be a dad for a few minutes, tweaking Lacey’s nose, giving Tristan a hug, and then holding Cole upside down until he giggles.

What a life.I can’t believe this one is mine. We got married less than a year after we met. We were surrounded by the otherSavage Kings and wed outside in a garden in town. It was a small, sweet ceremony and little did we know Lacey was already in my stomach then.

Since then, I’ve written over twenty books, each one more popular than the last. MC romance has become my forte. People love reading about the hardened guys who only show their soft side to their women.

My Hawk is the best daddy and husband. His hard edges are still there, but with us he’s just a big teddy bear. His black beard is now sprinkled with grey and he doesn’t go on as many runs with the Savage Kings, but they’re still our family.

A lot more of the guys have married and I’m friends with their wives. We lead busy, happy lives.

I stop him with a hand on his shoulder as he gets ready to take the kids outside.

“How ‘bout after the kids go to bed tonight, we work on making another baby?” I ask in a soft voice.

His blue eyes light up. He’s been wanting another baby forever, but I wanted to wait until Cole got a little older.

“Really, baby?” he asks in a hopeful voice.

I stroke his cheek. “Really, love. I want another one with you.”

He picks me up and swings me around in our front hallway. He gives me a big, smacking kiss as he sets me back on my feet.

“Lacey, they’re kissin’ again!” Tristan calls out.

“Eeeew!” Lacey’s voice echoes through the house.

Hawk and I just exchange a grin and another kiss. This is everything I could have wished for and more.
