“You don’t make the rules here, make the moves, make anything happen that I don’t want.” The edge in Isaac’s voice roused the same tension that’d settled inside Colton over break.
He liked Isaac’s aggression, his anger. While he hated the way Isaac’s rage twisted into hatred for Colton, he did find it somehow alluring how Isaac could pour that malice into Colton and create a spark of… Colton didn’t know what exactly. But he liked the feeling. There was something fiery and primitiveabout it, and while it frightened him, he wanted to dive deeper into the experience. After all, he didn’t have much say in things, so he allowed himself to be taken in by the currents of Isaac’s authority.
“I know you’re in charge. And I’ll abide by whatever you want. You can see that, right?” Colton rose from his seat and approached Isaac, cautious in his steps even though Isaac was a force of power. “But I can’t get our night out of my head. It’s not what I expected, what I ever thought I wanted, but there’s something about this. About us.”
“There is no us.”
“Yes, there is.” Colton ran his hands through his hair, searching for the right words, but only left with a feeling. “It’s wrong in this right kind of way, and it’s reminded me of what we had but also what we never had.”
Isaac’s anger faded for a moment, replaced by curiosity, perhaps the same insecure musings that’d haunted Colton over winter break. Surely, he’d felt the spark between them again after so much time apart, so much hate, so much wrongdoing.
“I want to explore these lost feelings, the missed opportunity between us.”
“There was no missed opportunity,” Isaac snapped. “There was only you destroying what we had, what we could’ve had. Now, we have nothing.”
“We have this.” Colton grazed his knuckles along Isaac’s forearms, gentle yet eager. “Let’s explore what we never had the chance to before.”
“Fine. But don’t get any ideas.” Isaac kissed Colton again, this time leading their mouths. “You’re just a mouth, a hole, a body for me to use and explore.”
“Of course.” Colton pressed up against Isaac, letting his sculpted muscles push them back toward the bed.
“Don’t confuse this with something it isn’t.” Isaac wrapped a hand around the back of Colton’s neck and held him in place. “You mean nothing to me.”
“You keep saying that. Yet you’ve gone out of your way to help me be more successful. You’ve also—”
“If you fail, I lose my fuck toy,” Isaac growled, tilting Colton’s head and running his teeth along the jock’s neck. “Your success is merely for my benefit. Nothing more.”
“Of course.” Colton shuddered at the way Isaac’s tongue licked from his collarbone up to his jawline.
In an instant, Isaac threw Colton down onto the bed and fell atop him, their bodies lost in a grind guided by their kisses.
Both boys had wanted to kiss for years now. Colton had seen Isaac’s desperate yearning to press lips since the first blowjob, and now, they were locked in a passionate make-out session. Colton did let this confuse him, buying into the illusion and deluding himself with the notion that this somehow brought them closer. It brought them closer than any apology ever would, more than any sex.
Colton lost himself in Isaac’s rough hands that caressed his body, pushing him back onto the bed so the angry goth could have his way with Colton’s mouth. Every part of him tensed in anticipation of Isaac ripping off his clothes, to slap him mid-kiss, to flip him over and ram his cock into Colton’s hole.
Isaac didn’t do any of that, though. He just kissed Colton while grinding against him. When Colton grinded back, the two panted between kisses.
Chapter Twelve
Isaachad gone into this arrangement expecting to play head games with Colton. Instead, he found himself avoiding the irksome jock since their make-out session at the end of winter break. It was a busy first week of classes, anyway. Plus, Colton needed to adjust to his schedule. Not that Isaac should care. He didn’t. It was a convenience factor only.
Isaac glared up at Colton, who sat in the same seat as last semester, with the same group of jocks and the same bored expression as the lecture went in one ear and out the other. Heand his friends chatted during the lecture, quietly for a change, but still absurd.
When he looked up again, Colton had this cocky smoldering expression that matched the flirty emoji he sent next. It was infuriating.
Which was true since Colton had started classes and baseball training—not that he or his teammates paid much attention in class. Or any class, Isaac wagered.
However, since Colton wanted to get frisky and flirty and frustrate Isaac, he decided to put an end to his considerations and remind Colton of the purpose behind their arrangement.
Professor Howard wrapped up her lecture and dismissed the class before heading out quicker than the students so she could take advantage of her lunch break. Isaac didn’t need to rush, and he didn’t want to. According to his schedule, this was the perfect time to speak with Colton.
“Hey, Colton, hang back for a bit.”
Colton and his team paused. Colton was likely waiting for a reason—a plausible reason—he needed to hang back, and the teammates simply seemed curious why some prick TA was hassling one of them.
“Damn, man, those queer kids still riding your dick? He’s not a mascot, you know?” Leon side-eyed Isaac with a playful smile but a menacing gaze. One Isaac had become quite familiar with in high school.
He gulped, only catching himself after the long-forgotten habit. A little action that used to help him swallow his words and hide his fear when bullies approached, which was a daily occurrence. Isaac knew what would happen next. Colton would save face like he’d always done when Isaac was stupid enough to talk to him in public. Colton would likely say something insulting, offensive, and degrading. The only difference between then and now was at least Isaac could scold Colton for his behavior when they were alone. Which clearly wouldn’t be now, based on Colton’s wide-eyed stare.
