Ned shook his head. “I don’t care. They have to see me before they see the gates of hell.”
Fiona raised her hand. “That’s fine, but you cannot kill them. The carbon monoxide and fire will handle that.”
The smile emerged on Ned’s face. He loved that kind of action. He stood to his feet. “Bet. I like that. I want this done before my baby girl has to go to school on Monday. Come here, Shan.”
That woman moved so fast into his arms. My boy tried to break her in his arms too. He cupped her cheeks with his hands, pulled her face out of his chest, and gazed into her eyes. “I love you. We’re gonna get through this shit.”
She just nodded. We all would get through it because it affected us all. It affected Kellie the most. Everyone in this room loved and would die for any one of our children. This would be proven tomorrow night. I would be right there to offer my support to my brother and niece.
Murder,Murder, Kill . . .
The time was here to lay a bitch and her lil nigglet down.I have so much repenting to do later. It always amazed me how quickly the people around me could get it together to do whatever it was that we needed to do. We already knew everything that we needed to know about Shanti and her son.
Shanti was a teenage mother. She had a criminal history for scamming and prostitution. I wanted to judge her, but I wouldn’t. I understood a mother’s need to take care of her child at all costs. She got her first solicitation charge at seventeen.
From what I pulled on her son, he played football and basketball for the junior varsity team at the high school. That told me that he had skills because he was in eighth grade. It also told me that he more than likely would have an agent that keptbusy paying out settlements to women he sexually assaulted if he went pro. He had an entitlement already when it came to being told no.
Based on his mother’s financial records, she spent a lot of money on his sports equipment, camps, and just him. She worked during the day as a customer service agent for a health insurance company, and by night, she was an exotic dancer. The club she worked at specialized in coochie sales. If you knew, then you knew. Her day job barely broke thirty thousand a year. Most of her income came from pussy sales, I assumed, and dancing.
“Her house is cute,” Mekole casually said. “It’s almost a pity to burn it down. I would have definitely purchased it from her estate and flipped it.”
It was three in the morning. The mother and son were asleep comfortably in their beds. Shanti had only been to sleep for about an hour after her male caller left, but Payton went down at around ten. Cameras were placed in the house earlier today when they were out. The lock on her house was a normal key, so that was an easy entry. Taelyn disarmed her alarm remotely. Perc, who was Codeine’s daughter, gave us a lil concoction that would paralyze them, but they would still feel everything.
The plan changed a little because Ned wanted them to feel pain. If they passed from carbon monoxide, then they wouldn’t feel those flames on their asses. Mekole was going to put her electrician skills to work tonight. The cause of the fire would be an electrical problem that caused a gas issue that would later cause an explosion. I wasn’t sure how that worked, but if anyone could do it, it was that crazy woman.
“Fuck that house. Are we ready?” Ned was over it, and I understood.
Fiona laughed. “Yeah, let’s go. Croy and TJ’s asses are getting restless like they’re here with us and not at their respective homes.”
We climbed out of our unmarked car to make our way to the house. All the cameras in the vicinity had been disabled as well. As far as anyone would be concerned, if the footage was reviewed, it was a peaceful night.
It took no time to gain entry to the residence. Ned and I planned to move Payton to his mother’s bed. Based on our one-day surveillance, he slept in her bed when she wasn’t whoring herself. I didn’t judge that either because there was a time that I did as well when I was younger. It was like your mama’s bed was always more comfortable than your own.
Fiona and Mekole went to Shanti’s room, while Ned and I went to Payton’s. I stopped Ned before he went to the room. “Aye, you can’t beat this lil boy up. They can’t be bruised when it’s all said and done with. We need this clean.”
“I know, man. This is personal, but I’m not sloppy with this either. Let’s get this done because I don’t want Kellie to wake up and I’m not there.” Ned told me earlier that Kellie slept in their bed the night everything came to light and tonight. Shan reached out to Draco for the connection to the therapist.
This was my brother from another mother. We’d been through so much together, and regardless of how painful some of those things were, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I patted him on his back. It all was a part of our story. “Let’s go, Bubba.”
We slid into Payton’s room with our guns drawn. Payton slept on his back, with his mouth wide open. I closed my eyes when Ned put the gun in this young man’s mouth. I would advise him otherwise, but I would have done the same. I told him not to beat him up, but I would have. I chuckled when Ned said “wakey, wakey” in a taunting tone.
I didn’t know eyelids could stretch as much as Payton’s did when he realized what the situation was. He couldn’t do anything but mumble some screams. The front of his sheets became wet.Awe, poor lil Tink Tink pissed himself.
“Look, I’m going to take this gun out of your mouth. If you scream like the bitch that I know you are, I’m going to shoot you. Do you understand?”
He nodded as tears ran freely down his cheeks. The air in the room froze over when the gun was removed. He wanted to scream but was too scared to.
Ned patted his forehead with his gloved hand. “Good boy. Let’s get up and go to your mama’s room. I know you couldn’t sleep in there tonight because she was whoring her lil pussy out. Come on!”
Payton jumped before he flung the wet covers back to climb out of the bed. The smell of the urine finally reached my nose. “Ah, hell no! Boy, you’re an athlete! How does your piss smell like ammonia? You don’t drink water?”
His eyes bounced from me to Ned with the unsaid question of whether to answer. “Um, yes, sir. I do.” He swallowed hard. “Why are y’all doing this?”
“Walk and you’ll find out soon,” Ned instructed. He pushed Payton in the back to get him moving. The walk to his mama’s room was very short.
“Payton! Oh my God! Please don’t hurt my son!” Shanti reached out for her son.
Ned allowed him to run to his mother. He hugged her tightly. “Mommy!”
